The European Union has brokered a new deal to end the siege of Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity, as Israel calls up army reservists ahead of an anticipated strike on the Gaza Strip.

A British military plane is reported to be ready to take off from Cyprus to pick up 13 Palestinian militants who have been the sticking point to a solution in the five-week siege in Bethlehem.

Cyprus's Foreign Minister, Yiannakis Cassoulides, has said his country will temporarily take the 13 until more permanent homes have been found for them.

Meanwhile, Israel began calling up army reservists ahead of an anticipated strike against Palestinian targets in the Gaza Strip, after the Israeli cabinet authorised military retaliation for a suicide attack which killed 16 people near Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

The bomber is believed to have come from Gaza.

Israeli military sources say that, according to intelligence reports, more Palestinian suicide bombings are planned. END

Remember what I said a couple of weeks ago that the EU would take an increasingly stronger role in solving the Middle East problem. This is a small step but look for bigger and better things to come.

It should be noted that the U.S. has usually been the lead in the majority of problem solving situations. The recent participation of the EU in major Middle East negotiations should be raising eyebrows in the world of prophecy. Look for them to become more involved and be looking for a man to come forward.

Although the EU could downsize to tens countries very soon, I look for the antichrist and the restructuring to take place after the rapture occurs. Remember, the tribulation period doesn't start until the antichrist signs a seven year peace accord with Israel. I believe it will be for the purpose of protecting Israel as opposed to peace between two countries.
