Last week air strikes in Gaza City, which killed Hamas militant leader Salah Shehada, as well as fifteen Palestinian civilians has erupted into multiple retaliatory strikes by Hamas homicide bombers.  Hamas has also warned all Israelis who have immigrated to the region to go back to the countries in which they immigrated or die.  Of course, this is nothing more than a cowardly act that for some reason the world has viewed as a reasonable response.  When Hamas (Palestine) kills innocent Israeli civilians they find sympathy for their cause.  When Israel accidentally kills civilians they are ridiculed because they have more sophisticated weaponry and it could have been avoided.  What many don’t realize is that this is war and civilians are going to be killed.  Anyway, Israel will respond and I foresee a time when Israel will take strong measures to the point of war.  Hamas has passed out leaflets in Gaza stating that for every one Palestinian leader who is killed 100 Israelis will die.

What I find to be mind-boggling is that a ceasefire deal sponsored by the European Union was in the process of being signed.  This is exactly what the Bible has said would happen.  Of course, a ceasefire is not a peace agreement but the fact that they are the leading contenders to bring about peace in the region is unbelievable.  Just a few years ago they were in the deep shadows of the U.S. and 20 years ago they were hardly a thought. 

They will bring about a ceasefire when the Lord is ready, and the antichrist will come on the scene and bring peace.
