With the drums of war looming over a war between the U.S. and Iraq, it has been reported that Iraq is seeking help from Iran. The feeling is that they are part of the "Axis of Evil" and will eventually be the next country in the U.S. crosshairs.

I don't feel that they will get involved mainly because the Bible states in Ezekiel 38 & 39 that they will be one of the countries that will attack Israel in the last days. Ironically, Iraq is not listed as one of the attacking countries. It is more likely that this is just a scare tactic to see if anyone in the coalition will blink.

Israel carried out an assassination strike today in Gaza of top bomb maker Mohammed Deif. Conflicting reports surfaced as to whether he was dead or alive but a Hamas spokesperson vowed they would retaliate everywhere in Israel for the air strike.

Israeli officials stated today that if Iraq did attack Israel in a U.S. led attack that they would not retaliate if there were no casualties.

Capitol Hill needs to stop playing politics about this proposed war and give their support to the president. They're putting the almighty dollar before national security. Actually, they're putting the upcoming elections before national security. They would like to put the shape of the U.S. economy back on the front page and place the war on Iraq on the back burner.

Of course, the politicians mean well and are just looking out for their political well-being, but the longer we put this war off the more dangerous it becomes. Time is definitely not on our side.

We need to remind ourselves that this isn't the same as the cold war with the former Soviet Union. Unlike the Soviet's, there is no way Iraq can win. But they can spread their nuclear and chemical/biological weapons around to terrorist groups who can strike at the heart of America. They may even decide to let inspectors back in, hide as many weapons as possible, and give the remaining to terrorist networks to do their damage. With weapons inspectors in Iraq it would be difficult to blame them for any terrorist attacks on the U.S. Most certainly the world community without solid proof that that was where the weapons originated would frown upon any strike against Iraq.

Both the Ukraine and Germany have been helping Iraq to strengthen their military efforts. The Ukraine has been selling the Iraqis highly intelligent radar equipment that can even detect stealth technology. Germany has also become a major problem in their sale of materials that will put the Iraqis that much closer to creating nuclear weapons. Actually, I heard a weapons expert on Fox News say that they were already there. With reports like that could we be too late?

One other thing that I feel is important and the main message of our website. Our only hope is in Christ and you need Him in your life today! You can't get to heaven as you are because your sins have separated you from God (Romans 3:23). That's why God sent his only son to die for the sins of the world, to bridge the gap between God and man (Romans 6:23). If you were good enough to go to heaven on your own merit, Jesus' death, burial and resurrection would have been unnecessary.

Well what do you need to do? First, come to the Father, admitting that you are a sinner. This proclaims your need for a Savior. Second, ask for forgiveness of your sins. Third, ask Jesus, to come into your heart, and save you, and to help you live a life for Him (Romans 10:9-10). Dedicate the rest of your life to serving Him and mean it. Only a truly repentant heart can Christ come in and forgive. Jesus died for you, He ask that you live for Him (Romans 10:13).

If you accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior today, please send me an email.

Now that you're a Christian there are a number of things you need to do. Get in church. I would like to invite you to our church. It is important that you find a good local church. Start reading your Bible and praying daily. This is very important if you are to develop your Christian walk. It is impossible to succeed as a Christian without these three basic fundamentals. No one can do it for you, only you. Allow Jesus to walk in your life.
