(AP) - The United States and South Korea, stung by North Korea's admission that it has a secret nuclear weapons program, are calling on Pyongyang to reverse course and abide by promises to renounce development of these armaments. The startling disclosure, announced Wednesday night by the White House, changed the political landscape in East Asia, setting back hopes that North Korea was on the road to becoming a more benign presence in the region. Japan expressed "grave concern" about the North Korea's nuclear revelation.

It is not clear what steps the Bush administration may have in mind now for North Korea. Also unclear is just how far along the North Korean nuclear program is.

William Triplett, a defense writer and East Asia expert, said the North Korean admission means Pyongyang now has or will soon have the ability to export nuclear warheads along with the long-range missiles it is already exporting to the Middle East and South Asia.

The new development is certain to have an impact in Japan, which may now feel vulnerable to potential nuclear blackmail by North Korea. There may also be increased challenges in Japan to the country's postwar commitment to pacifism.

North Korea may have foreshadowed the sudden souring of relations 10 days ago when, after Kelly's departure, it called the U.S. diplomat "high-handed and arrogant."

It also vowed to maintain a high military vigilance unless Washington changes its policy. END

This shouldn't be a shock to anyone…I've been talking about North Korea as a nuclear threat for years. I would be shocked if they didn't have the capability of reaching U.S. shores. If a country is perceived to have nuclear weapons, they probably have them and are more advanced in their development then you think.

Of course, the U.N. will drag their feet on this critical issue as well. Although, with the Far East showing a considerable amount of concern they may step up to the plate.

The Bible was correct when it prophesied that in the last days we would be living in perilous times (II Timothy 3:1). I'm not referring to the sniper in D.C. who has killed 9 and injured 2. I'm speaking of the terrorism that is going on worldwide. Although, the possibility that the sniper(s) could turn out to be a terrorist should not be discounted. Take a hard look at world news sometime and you'll see that terrorism has expanded to every corner of the globe. People from all races and walks are willing to strap on a belt of explosives and die for the promise of a supposed heavenly harem.

I still think the Ronald Reagan approach of peace through strength works. Many of these countries are building massive nuclear arsenals and we continue to sit on our hands as they buy valuable time. But its all a part of what I believe is the Lord's master plan, setting the stage for the antichrist to come on the stage and take his place. Yes, there will be a nuclear holocaust and many people will die (1/4 of the worlds population).

As a pre-tribulationist, I do not believe that we as Christian's will be here to witness it. But if you do not know the Lord you will have to experience what the Bible calls the most horrible time the world has ever known. You may say that you don't believe this will happen...or it won't happen in our lifetime. Many have said that they don't believe in a literal hell, but that doesn't change the outcome of the rich man who has been screaming in flames of fire for thousands of years.

Let me ask you this…are you ready to meet the Lord today!
