The panel's report said the need for action was made more pressing "by the prospect that the United States might go to war with Iraq and that Saddam Hussein might threaten the use of weapons of mass destruction" in the United States. "America remains dangerously unprepared to prevent and respond to a catastrophic terrorist attack on U.S. soil," said the task force, chaired by former Sens. Warren Rudman, R-N.H., and Gary Hart, D-Colo. "The more we move to tighten up on external threats, the higher the risk becomes at home," Hart said at a news conference presenting the report. "We have to face up to that threat." END This article speaks for itself. I was watching Bill O'Reilly host of The Factor on Fox News the other night and he said something on his show that shock me. He stated he believed that the next five years would be very dangerous years for the United States and its citizens. He was speaking in reference to our tolerance to allow Iraq as well as other terrorist nations to go unchecked. The unfortunate thing is many in the U.S. believe if we ignore terrorism it will somehow leave us alone. Others believe that we should never initiate a preemptive strike. They're living in the twilight zone. We live in a much more dangerous world then in the past. Today, with advanced nuclear technology, one suitcase could destroy a major city. We live in a world where waiting for a second strike could be our last. Preemptive anticipation and good intelligence is critical if not a matter of life and death. Israel has proven that time and time again. We should learn a very valuable lesson from them. But there's one thing that we can know for sure! This is all part of the master plan that God has laid out and we can rest in Him until He comes. Personally, I am finding that as the day draws closer to His coming the world has gotten considerably more dangerous in a very short amount of time. I feel every day the urgency that time is running out and something big is about to happen. It's not my intention to scare anyone, but let me ask you, do you know the Lord! If not, you better wake up soon because I believe the Lord is coming at any moment and I'm not alone. Of course there are scoffers who do not believe it will happen, but the Bible predicted that also. "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." II Peter 3:3-7 The strange thing about these verses, they state that the same scoffers were around during the time of Noah. Their surroundings were the same with the earth standing out of the water and in the water. Water still separated bodies of land back then as well. But when the flood came it overcame the world and all perished less those who entered the ark. The same result will happen again. While many are going on about their lives, saving for retirement, building magnificent fortunes, and living life to the fullest with no regard for God, He will come as a thief and plunge the world into a tribulation they have never seen before. Are you ready to meet the Lord! Pastor Malone
