Plan To End US Presence WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Saudi Arabia's leaders have taken
far-reaching decisions to prepare for an era of military disengagement from the
United States, to enact what Saudi officials call the first significant
democratic reforms at home and to rein in the conservative clergy that has
shared power in the kingdom. Senior members of the royal family say that Crown Prince
Abdullah
will ask President Bush to withdraw all U.S. armed forces from the kingdom as
soon as the campaign to disarm Iraq has concluded. A spokesman for the royal
family would not comment. Sharon
Resumes Direct Talks With Palestinians JERUSALEM -- With his reelection campaign behind him and the
task of forming a new governing coalition still incomplete, Prime Minister Ariel
Sharon has resumed direct contacts with senior Palestinian officials, Israeli
and Palestinian aides said Saturday. Sharon still refuses to talk directly with Palestinian leader
Yasser Arafat, but he met last
week with the speaker of the Palestinian legislature, Ahmed Qureia. Israeli officials described the contacts, which include
lower-level meetings, as an effort to arrange a cease-fire. The formula
presented in the talks appeared to be the same one that has been tried without
success in the past. Comments We are still under high alert in the U.S. and that doesn't
look to be lifted until the threat of war is lifted or resolved. President Bush has a new problem. The U.S. economy is at
a standstill and doesn't look to be getting better anytime soon. The
slowdown is directly attributed to the uncertainty of the impending Iraqi
invasion. This is just another reason why this standoff must be resolved
one way or the other. I believe that we will see war in the next few
weeks. Saddam's plan has always been to impede inspections, get the rebuke
of the U.S., take it as far as possible and then cooperate just enough to
satisfy world opinion. He has been playing this game for years and is very
good at it. But if President Bush is to be re-elected in 2004 he better
get the economy back on track. That means this war has to end and
soon. Continue to see this game go on until President Bush grows
weary of it. I don't believe the U.S. and Britain will go it alone due to
the fact that many in the U.N. have power that they otherwise would not
possess. Look for France and Germany to trade their support for U.S.
favors in the future. Besides, if they proceed without the blessing of the
U.N. that would render the U.N. irrelevant. That's the last thing France and
Germany want. That's their only real source of international power. Saudi Arabia is trying to distance itself from the U.S.
It wouldn't surprise me if they have joined the secret Russian alliance.
As you may know, I believe that Russia is secretly putting together a powerful
alliance. This alliance will one day attack Israel, but God will
supernaturally destroy them (Ezekiel 38 & 39). Israel is back at the negotiations table but I don't see real
progress in the future of these talks until the antichrist appears on the
scene. The next big prophetic event will be the rapture. Pastor Malone
