Rejects U.S. Troop Deployment Plan Iraq
Begins Destroying Banned Missiles N.
Korea Warns Nuke War Could Break Out Comments Turkey has rejected a bill allowing U.S. soldiers and allies
to use airbases for the northern front of the possible Iraqi war. Of
course, this is a huge turn about for Turkey. Actually, it doesn't
surprise me that this has happened. Turkey is never going to get into the
E.U. even with U.S. help. They will eventually make a secret alliance with
Russia and the Arab world. The U.S. will have to re-deploy its troops in
Kuwait. Iraq is playing the old bait and switch game again.
They will keep making inspections interesting until everyone in the world has
tired of the whole ordeal. Unfortunately for Saddam, I don't think
President Bush is bluffing and it may already be to late. I am beginning to hear a lot of speculation about this war
being connected to the rapture. That could be possible but no more
possible then the first one in the early 1990's. I think that we have
become a world of Christians that are eager to connect anything negative with
the rapture. It all comes down to the antichrist coming on the scene and
signing a peace treaty with Israel. Everything else is just window
dressing and preparation for that day. I had a person email me the other day and say that they
believed that Iraq would be rebuilt after the invasion and the antichrist would
make it his home. They believed in a literal interpretation of the Bible
and Iraq would be Mystery Babylon since that was the location of ancient
Babylon. For the most part, I agree that the Bible gives a literal
interpretation of prophecy. Of course, I believe that Mystery Babylon will
turn out to be the U.S. because it describes them very well in Revelation 14, 17
& 18. It could turn out to be Iraq, but they'd better hurry if they're
going to turn into a world financial powerhouse who will one day make the whole
world rich. At least that's how the Bible describes them (ch. 18).
They also will lord power over the antichrist and the world until he
(antichrist) destroys her (Mystery Babylon ch. 17). Getting back to the inspections. Look for an attempt to
drag out the inspections by a number of countries. The U.S. will not
tolerate it. Pastor Malone
(AP) - Turkey's parliament dealt a stunning blow to U.S. war planning Saturday
by failing to approve a bill allowing in American combat troops to open a
northern front against Iraq. The decision was likely to seriously strain ties
with Washington and marked a setback to U.S. efforts to show Saddam Hussein that
he is surrounded and his neighbors support a U.S.-led coalition.
(AP) - Iraq began crushing banned missiles with bulldozers Saturday, meeting a
U.N. demand in an attempt to prevent a devastating U.S.-led attack. Washington
dismissed the move and continued to push for war. But President Bush's
preparations for a military showdown with Iraq suffered a severe setback when
Turkey's parliament failed to approve the deployment of 62,000 U.S. combat
troops. The United States wants to use Turkey to open a northern front against
Iraq if it launched a war.
(AP) - South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun, in his first policy speech since
taking office, on Saturday warned of a "calamity" from the standoff
over North Korea's nuclear program unless a peaceful resolution is found
quickly. After his speech, Pyongyang issued a dispatch threatening that nuclear
war could break out on the Korean Peninsula at "any moment," an
escalation of the communist North's hostile rhetoric as international pressure
grows for it to disarm.
