Israeli Missiles Kill Five in Gaza City
(AP) - In the third air strike against Hamas targets in 24 hours, Israeli helicopters on Thursday fired missiles at a car in Gaza City, killing five people, including a young child, and wounding 25, doctors said. Hamas said the car belonged to one of its activists. A leader of the Islamic militant group, Mahmoud Zahar, said those killed in the airstrike were Yasser Taha, a member of the Hamas military wing, Taha's wife, and the couple's two small children.
EU Constitution - Religion In, Enlightenment Out
EUOBSERVER/BRUSSELS - Following strong
protests from the Vatican and Christian representatives, the Convention's
steering committee - the presidium - has redrawn controversial references to
Europe's cultural and intellectual heritage.
Previous drafts had included as reference points the civilisations of Greece and
Rome, as well as the philosophical heritage of the Enlightenment.
In a redraft early on Wednesday, religion was again included, but references to
Greece, Rome and the enlightenment were toned down.
Constitutional Wrangling Enters Last Phase
The wrangling over the final crucial wording in the future European constitution will reach fever pitch today as the different components in the Convention on the EU's future thrash out their last ultimate positions before the finale tomorrow.There are legends about her origins. Some say she is the very
snake from the Garden of Eden itself. She reappears in different forms and under
different names throughout human history. Many regard her as a she-demon from
the netherworld. Everywhere, she has the same Modus Operandi: Come and show me
your true vulnerability, she cried, and I promise we will live in peace forever,
trust me.

Is it any wonder that the U.S. is being called the harlot of the roadmap. I have said for many years that the U.S. would turn out to be Mystery Babylon the harlot of Revelation 17. Most commentators still cling to their belief that Iraq will once again rise and aspire to the harlots' lofty position (described in Revelation 17-18). I don't see it, but they're entitled to their opinion.
Religions back in the E.U. constitution, which is slated to be in final draft mode by tomorrow. It still doesn't mention God but does acknowledge the importance of religion among the European member nations. Actually, that means little in the grand picture. When the antichrist comes to power he will demand worship and the beliefs of the world will matter little. He will be perceived as unstoppable (after destroying the U.S. and the Russian alliance) and no one will stand in his way. I should clarify, the Russian alliance will actually suffer defeat by the hand of God (Ezekiel 38-39), but since Israel will be under the protection of the E.U., the antichrist will get the credit.
The roadmap to peace, lead by the U.S., is the peace agreement that the antichrist will confirm (Daniel 9:24-27), but it will take some time. How much time is hard to estimate, but that has nothing to do with the timing of the rapture, for it could take place at anytime.
Must the permanent president of the E.U. be in place before the start of the tribulation period? I think so if we are to see what I believe is the true interpretation of this man. Should there only be ten nations in the E.U. (Revelation 13:1) as stated in the Bible before the tribulation period can begin? Not necessarily, if you remember, the statue in Daniel's dream that speaks of the old and new Roman Empires goes from two legs to ten toes (Daniel 2). Although there were many countries in the Old Roman Empire it was divided into two parts east and west. Although there are many more countries in the present day European Union, only ten are recognized by the Bible as the ruling nations of the antichrist's kingdom. Even though those ten kingdoms are not readily visible yet (we know who the lead nations are) they will be then.
