In the past I didn't really put much stock in the peace process although I knew someday it would finally happen. Although, I don't think this is the time, it is a step toward what I believe eventually will lead to peace. I'm sure many reading this have heard that time and time again. That's true and has been a recurring disappointment over the years. But you must realize that this event is not based on man's efforts but on God's timing. When peace does come it will mark the beginning of a very important event, the tribulation period. So, as you see, it's not dependent upon man.
It is believed by most Bible believing ministers and teachers that peace in the Middle East will bring about world recognition to Israel and finally give them the stability they long for. It is also stated in the Bible (Daniel 9:27) that the antichrist will be the one to bring this peace.
The U.S. is working a new weapons system that will make it less dependent on acquiring bases from neighboring countries of enemy targets such as Iraq. "The ultimate goal would be a reusable hypersonic cruise vehicle (HCV) ... capable of taking off from a conventional military runway and striking targets 9,000 nautical miles distant in less than two hours.
The unmanned HCV would carry a payload of up to 12,000 lbs and could ultimately fly at speeds of up to 10 times the speed of sound, according to Daniel Goure, a military analyst at the Lexington Institute in Washington."
I have been hearing more and more about same sex marriages in America. This is just plain crazy and is another sign of the times. Unfortunately, I see the day coming very soon (we may not be here to see it) that America will put into law legalizing this sin.
