I get email all the time from readers telling me who they
believe the antichrist maybe. Granted
many are way off in their predictions but for some reason or another they feel
that person is scary enough to fit the description. Some of the guesses aren’t even political figures but in the
order of paper kings and princes in a made for TV special. I guess anything can happen, but don’t count
on it.
Just as the kingdom of the antichrist and those before it
were real military dynasties (described in Daniel 2), so will this future
kingdom be as well. Kingdoms will fear
and tremble at the mention of this man and ask “who is able to make war with
him (Revelation 13:4)”. This man will
be from a kingdom that will be a recognized force in the world at the time of
his ascension. There won’t be any
secret coups or unknown countries that will spring up from nowhere to become
rulers of the world.
Just as the previous four world rulers (Babylon, Persia,
Greece and Ancient Rome) were well-documented powers in world history, so will
the New Roman Empire be in the future.
If you look around at world headlines, keep your eyes open and study the scriptures, you just might see things happen before your eyes.
