Moslem
Claim to Jerusalem Rests on Wobbly Verse
A commentator in the official Egyptian government weekly, of all places, writes
this week that the entire Moslem claim on Jerusalem and El-Aksa is based on a
mistaken reading of one chapter of the Quran.
Prof. Moshe Sharon, Middle Eastern expert in the Hebrew University, commented on Arutz-7 today: "This is not a new claim. We must remember that Jerusalem is not mentioned at all in the Quran [though it is mentioned hundreds of time in the Bible - ed. note]. The verse in question is in Sura [chapter] 17, which states that Muhammad was brought at night from one mosque to a "more distant" - aktsa, in Arabic - mosque. The first Moslem commentators did not explain this as referring to Jerusalem at all, of course, but rather as a miraculous night journey or night vision or some such. In the beginning of the 8th century, however, they began associating this with Jerusalem, because they had a need to start giving sanctity to Jerusalem, and so they started connecting this verse with Jerusalem...
INTRIGUE AROUND HILLARY '04 OPTIONS
There is said to be some fire to the smoke this Labor Day weekend over a report that Hillary Clinton has set a
date to discuss a run for the presidency... Hillary and her advisers, including
her husband the ex-president, her money-men and pollsters, will meet shortly
after Labor Day -- September 6,- to discuss whether or not she should go for it!

You really need to read the first article about the Arab
world's claim to Jerusalem and the temple mount. It's really based on
hearsay and very weak evidence. Come to find out Jerusalem is only
mentioned once in the Quran, but hundreds of times in the Bible. Yet, the
Arab's continue to fight on for the right of a land that is based on one
misinterpreted verse.
The second article I took out of the Drudge Report about the
possibility of Hillary Clinton running for President in 2004. Don't
underestimate her, she could win it, especially if it is a part of God's endtime
plan. Truthfully, that's the only way I can see the U.S. (Mystery Babylon)
getting destroyed in a single day. You can bet she will finish the work of
her husband and bring military spending to a screeching halt.
Had an article emailed to me the other day going on about the
hidden prophecies of the Book of Psalm. I have a few readers of mine who
send those to me from time to time. I have to admit, I'm not real high on
believing that the Book of Psalm has hidden or even blatant prophecies for that
matter within it. But recently, someone emailed me an article that stated
that something major was predicted in Psalm that will happen sometime late
summer or early fall 2003. They also said that every prophecy in Psalm,
since 1948 (rebirth of Israel), has come true and this prophecy would be no
different. This is a portion of the email that I found most intriguing:
"Keep this letter...The
Psalms show the Rapture to happen after an event in Israel, during the
summer/fall of 2003... It's hard to believe this, but the pattern has been 100%
right since before and after 1948...Why should it change now?"
According to the writer, the rapture will happen following a monumental event in Israel. He states that Psalm 102:16 is the exact verse he believes the rapture will take place. Of course, there was a lot more said to substantiate his belief that I won't go into, but if you email me, I will forward it to you.
I'm assuming that it won't be another
homicide bombing, that happens on a near weekly basis. The only thing I
can think of it being is the Russian/Arab attack of Ezekiel 38 & 39.
Again, I'm not that high on believing that the Book of Psalm
has hidden prophecies, but I am willing to wait three or four months to see if
they do come true. Actually, I hope it does, it's definitely not out of
the realm of possibility since I do believe the rapture could happen at any
moment.
I want to thank those who have sent me articles regarding
this topic and others. I do appreciate them.
