Israel Decides to Expel Arafat - "In Principle"Expulsion
May Not Blunt Arafat's Capacity for Trouble
JERUSALEM (AFP) - Yasser Arafat's hand in the downfall of
his prime minister Mahmud Abbas has emboldened senior Israelis to push for his
expulsion but such a move could trigger chaos and fail to halt the Palestinian
leader's capacity for troublemaking, according to analysts.
Ahmed Qorei, the parliament speaker set to replace Abbas, urged Israel Monday to show due respect to the democratically elected leader of the Palestinian people, who has been confined to his headquarters in Ramallah for some 20 months.
Blair:
EU blueprint good for Britain
The British cabinet has expressed
majority support for the draft constitution, resisting calls for a referendum on
the EU blueprint.

If Israel expels Arafat that would be a major blow to the peace process. There is even talk by the Israeli cabinet that they're still undecided whether "remove him" means to expel or kill him. Don't count on either happening. I just got through reading world opinion on the possibility of Arafat being expelled and it wasn't good (click here to read it). The Middle East could be on the verge of exploding, but not before peace is established.
Tony Blair has convinced the UK that an E.U. constitution is good for them. That doesn't surprise me, he's a very convincing man.
