Study:
Most Americans Believe They Are Going to Heaven; Only One Half of 1 Percent
Think They Are Hell-Bound...
LOS ANGELES -- An overwhelming
majority of Americans continue to believe that there is life after death and
that heaven and hell exist, according to a new study. What's more, nearly
two-thirds think they are heaven-bound.
On the other hand, only one-half of 1% said they were hell-bound, according to a
national poll by the Oxnard-based Barna Research Group, an independent marketing
research firm that has tracked trends related to beliefs, values and behaviors
since 1984.
Seven
Countries Back Christianity In Constitution
The demand to have Europe's Christian values mentioned in a
new European Constitution is gaining increasing support.
Now, seven of the 25 countries participating in the negotiations of a new
European Constitution support the call, according to the Italian EU Presidency.
The seven countries are: Spain, Ireland, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia and
the Czech Republic.
Russian
President Opens New Air Base In Kyrgyzstan
Oct. 24 (Bloomberg) -- President Vladimir Putin opened a Russian air base in the
former Soviet republic of Kyrgyzstan, its first new military base outside
Russian territory since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the Associated
Press said.
The base at Kant, 19 kilometers (12 miles) east of the capital, Bishkek, will house five Russian Sukhoi-27 fighter jets, five Sukhoi-25 bombers and helicopters, AP said. It will have about 500 pilots and maintenance personnel.
Comments
I can't say what the true percentage is of those who believe they are going to
heaven really is but I hope they're right. The subject of one's eternal
destination should not be toyed with. Some of the reasons given for their
claim to heaven will prove to lead to eternal damnation. I am shocked that
so many in America just don't know the Bible or the only way to heaven which is
through Christ.
Apparently, seven E.U. member countries support Christianity to be included in the constitution. Actually, it doesn't matter whether it is or it isn't. As soon as the time is right, the antichrist will declare himself to be God and it will be eliminated. That goes for any opposing religion including Islam or any other sect that would take away from his deity. He won't be willing to share his glory with anyone pagan or true.
President Vladimir Putin opened a Russian air base in the former Soviet republic of Kyrgyzstan. Of course, this is a strategic move to counter U.S. positions, but will serve to be a striking position in the battle prophesied in Ezekiel 38 & 39. Look for other agreements with former Soviet bloc countries in the future.
