Most EU Leaders Against Turkey's Membership
Berlin, Nov 8 - Most senior European Union officials are against Turkey joining the EU, the German daily Der Spiegel reports in its Monday edition.

According to the paper, two-thirds of 33 director generals of the European Commission -- the EU's executive arm -- who were questioned were opposed to Turkey's accession to an enlarged Europe.

Secretary of State Colin Powell has endorsed unofficial informal peace talks between Palestinians and Israelis outside of the Israeli government.  This was seen as a blow to the official Israeli peace talks.  This is quite ridiculous to compare a group of misfits who don't have to contend with national security issues with the Israeli state department that has national security as priority number one.  As a military man, Colon Powell should know better.  

Israel will wait until their security is guaranteed before they start sleeping with the enemy.  This will come in the form of E.U. membership and they will guarantee their security.  This will come in exchange for peace in the Middle East and statehood for the Palestinians.  The E.U. will in exchange give them temporary membership status for seven years with the promise of full membership at its completion.

It has been reported that the majority of E.U. leaders do not want Turkey to become a member of the E.U.  That doesn't surprise me.  They'll never become a member but will grow weary of this long process.  They will eventually join the Russian-Arab alliance and play a major role in the invasion of Israel (Ezekiel 38 & 39).

President Putin claims that the government's takeover of oil giant Yukos was justified.  I have a different take and see it as another move back to a state controlled communist government.  They've already instituted the Red Star (old Soviet Union military symbol) as the new Russian military symbol.  In my opinion, these are signs that they are heading back to communism.

Russia and the E.U. are in talks over when the former communist country will be eligible for inclusion in the World Trade Organization.  But many in the meeting say their maybe too many roadblocks for them to enter by the projected time of late 2004.  This is another treaty that I feel will never be made, but it's only a gut feeling.  But there is another observation that needs to be pointed out.  The E.U. is swiftly becoming the new friend of the world while the U.S. is drawing hatred throughout the international community.  Every time I read the news I see that they're making an agreement or in the middle of a summit with some major power.  I can see the tide turning but that won't matter when the antichrist takes charge, he will have the god of this world as his partner.

I was pointed to a website the other day by one of my readers.  They were stating that Javier Solana, Secretary General Of NATO was a potential candidate that we should be keeping an eye on.  At this stage of the game, I wouldn't rule anyone out.  Even Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi (the present E.U. rotating president) made the European Commission angry over his outburst over the Russian Yukos Affair.  That doesn't rule him out but it does make me wonder about his ability to gain the necessary support to be elected. 

I must say, I get pointed to websites on a regular basis and I thank you for your recommendations.  It's good to know that there are many excellent Bible believing prophecy websites available in these last days.
