Saddam
Hussein Captured Alive Near Tikrit
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Without firing a shot, American forces captured a bearded and
haggard-looking Saddam Hussein in an underground hide-out on a farm near his
hometown of Tikrit, ending one of the most intensive manhunts in history. The
arrest was a huge victory for U.S. forces battling an insurgency by the ousted
dictator's followers.
U.S.
Officials to Meet Mideast Leaders
(AP) - A U.S. envoy has arranged a three-way meeting to try to break the impasse
over the terms of an Israeli-Palestinian summit, negotiators said Sunday. The
summit would be a first step toward resuming peace talks. Israeli-Palestinian
violence continued as David Satterfield, a senior State Department official,
pressed on with his mediation efforts. Palestinians fired mortars at Jewish
settlements in the Gaza Strip, and Israeli troops killed a suspected Islamic
militant in the West Bank.
Egypt,
Iran Prepare For Reconciliation
CAIRO [MENL] -- After nearly a quarter of a century, Egypt and Iran are
preparing to reconcile.
European
Summit Ends In Failure
The Brussels summit collapses as EU leaders fail to agree a constitution amid
a row over voting rights.

I'm sure by now you have heard that Saddam Hussein has been captured. This is great news and very good for the Iraqi people and their quest for democracy. Of course, this does not mean the war is over, on the contrary, you can bet there will be more attacks.
What does the Bible have to say about the fall of Saddam Hussein? Actually, not a thing! But I'm sure there will be websites and T.V. preachers that will attempt to place scripture with his fall (after the fact).
I would probably say that the failure of E.U. leaders at the European Summit to agree on a constitution is more scriptural. It may take a brilliant mind (antichrist) to make it all come together.
Another big development that snuck underneath the prophetic radar is the reconciliation of Iran and Egypt. They have been at odds for almost 25 years. This is big because the Bible prophesies that they will become partners in an attack against Israel in the latter days (Ezekiel 38 & 39).
