EU
Open To Gaza Peacekeeping Option
Mughrabim
Wall Collapse Attributed To Apathy Israel's
New Fighter Jets Arrive In A "Storm"
EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - The EU's head of foreign policy,
Javier Solana has indicated that the EU may consider taking on a peacekeeping
role in the Gaza strip if the Israeli government pulls out.
Answering questions from journalists about a possible peacekeeping role for the
EU, Mr Solana strongly hinted that the EU would be willing to play a part.
A problematic wall along the ascent to the Mughrabim Gate of the Temple Mount,
adjacent to the Western Wall Plaza, has been removed - but not the problems
themselves.
Two F-16I fighter jets landed at the Israeli Air Force's Ramon base in the
Negev today, the first batch of a total of 102 planes Israel has ordered from
the United States at a cost of over $4.5 billion. Named the Sufa (storm), the
two-seater jets will form the backbone of the IAF and extend its long-arm reach
throughout the Middle East. Much of the Sufa's advanced technology was developed
for the plane by Israeli companies.
Israel
And Syria: What next?
Surrounded on all sides by what he sees as hostile
forces, Syria's President Bashar Assad is seeking a window to the West. But does
the country's strategic and economic weakness make peace talks with Israel
likely in the foreseeable future?
Towards the end of 2003 and at start of 2004, a number of significant changes
occurred in the Middle East. Iran bowed to western, especially EU, pressure and
signed the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty's additional protocol, which
provides for more invasive UN supervision of its nuclear facilities; after years
of political and economic sanctions, Libya agreed to dismantle its WMD programs;
the U.S. and its allies, despite serious obstacles, continued their efforts to
set up a new, pro-western regime in Iraq.

Tells U.S. Israel Hasn't Abandoned 'Road Map'
JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister
Ariel Sharon assured U.S. envoys Thursday Israel had not abandoned a U.S.-backed
peace "road map," but said he would prepare go-it-alone moves in case
the plan failed.

The E.U. has said they are now open to playing a part as peacekeepers in
Gaza. This is something I have been looking at for a few years.
Look for the possibility of a multinational peacekeeping army or advisory team
to come into the area. I believe this will be the first phase toward
peace, but anything could happen before the peacekeeping team is even
assembled. The time is right but no one knows the timing of God.
The E.U. is now concerned about the rise of anti-Semitism among their members. Both Israel and the E.U. are now taking measures to reverse this alarming trend. Studies show that anti-Semitism in Europe is nearing pre-WWII levels. Not only is this problem not going away, but look for it to reach epidemic proportions. This isn't a prediction by any means, just a common Biblical fact regarding Jews in these last days.
Syria, a wolf in sheep's clothing, is still trying to push Israel into a peace agreement that they will never honor. This is nothing more then an elaborate plan to shame Israel into a peace plan that will one day backfire on them. Syria has no desire to make peace with Israel but if temporary peace will help them achieve their long-term goal of destroying Israel they will do it.
It would be best for Israel to abandon anything resembling the U.S. lead roadmap, but eventually they'll adopt it as law and that will be when the Arab nation will make it's long awaited move.
