For years the old guard of the dismantled Soviet Union have
yearned for the day they would return to military prominence. When
Vladimir Putin came from obscurity to ascend to the top spot in Russia, that
dream got a little closer. Every time I look at this man's accomplishments
I think of the coming antichrist and how possible it is for a man of little
political influence to rise to such power. No, I don't believe he will be
the coming antichrist, but it does show how quickly the rise of an empire can
come to pass.
I've said for years that the antichrist is lurking in the shadows awaiting his devil-incarnated ascension to his earthly throne. The irony of it all, he probably doesn't even know he is being groomed to be the antichrist. Just as Judas was possessed by satan for that particular moment, so will it be for the antichrist. That's not to say that the spirit of antichrist hasn't been working behind the scenes to position itself for this day. Of course, this is my personal belief.
The European Union's foreign policy chief Javier Solana has assured Russia that their enlargement from 15 to 25 nations, which will include seven ex-Soviet bloc nations, will not effect E.U. policy toward them. I don't see a good relationship in the future between the E.U. and Russia. In fact, they may attack Israel while under the direct care of the E.U. Make no mistake, the old Soviet Union is coming back!
A word about the movie The Passion Of The Christ. I did go see this film over the weekend and found it to be true to the Bible. The Hollywood critics would like to misdirect your attention to the supposed anti-Semitic theme of the movie, but of course, they are lead by their master to do so. Don't let the lies of this world fool you. The theme of this movie is as it was...the finished work of Christ to die for the sins of the world period! As usual, when it comes to Spiritual issues, the critics of this world just don't get it. Go see this movie if for no other reason but to reward Mr. Gibson for his accurate portrayal of the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. This may create a demand that even Hollywood can understand.
