Ariel Sharon has stated that he believes it could be years before the Palestinians have a state.  The U.S. Roadmap calls for one to be established by sometime in 2005.  I don't believe it will take years, but I don't see it coming anytime soon either.  And when I say soon, I mean within the next year or so, but certainly I could be wrong.  That doesn't change the fact that the rapture could happen at any moment.

Many people are looking at this treaty to be the treaty with the antichrist that will set off the beginning of the seven year tribulation period.  That's not necessarily true, but I do believe he will play a major role in making it happen.  Personally, I believe that Israeli entrance into the E.U. will be a key component of the seven-year tribulation period.

The treaty with the antichrist, I believe, will be a direct peace agreement in which many nations will be involved with Israel being one of them.  He may make an agreement with ten to twenty nations at one time.  As far as the world is concerned, they will just be one of many who agree to the pact (Daniel 9:25-27).  Of course, we know differently.

Russian President Putin is doing all he can to help Russia become a superpower threat again.  Just recently, he held a mock nuclear attack against the United States to ready his military empire for the possibility.

Something else that has raised eyebrows (I predicted this back in the mid-1990s) is that sixty percent of all presidential administrative posts have been filled with former KGB officers.  I think were just fooling ourselves if we believe the bear is sleeping.
