North Korea said Friday the standoff over its atomic ambitions was on the brink of nuclear war as US Vice President Dick Cheney headed to the region for talks with key Asian allies.

The Stalinist state's official news agency accused Washington of "driving the military situation on the Korean peninsula to the brink of a nuclear war" with plans for a pre-emptive strike on North Korea.

Sharon Pins High Hopes On Bush Summit
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon left late Monday night for the US, with aides confident he will return Friday with enough US assurances to convince Likud voters on April 29 to approve his disengagement plan in a referendum.

One senior source said that, even in light of US President George W. Bush's current problems in Iraq, Sharon is expecting a firm and solid US statement backing his plan.

I keep reading about all the multitude of problems that are occurring in the wake of the E.U. expansion.  It looks like the old prophecy scholars maybe right, it's going to take a genius to put this all together.

North Korea says that it is on the brink of a nuclear war with the U.S.  I know we've heard this all before but I am confident that some day soon the false alarms will end.  This truly is a scary proclamation.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is heading to Washington to meet with President Bush to discuss the upcoming vote on the disengagement plan.  Personally, I don't feel that the Middle East peace plan will turn out to be the peace plan with the antichrist.  As you know, I lean toward Israel joining the E.U. as the peace plan, but that's only an opinion. 

But at the same time, the Bible does say that the antichrist will solve an ongoing peace problem (Daniel 9:27).  He will walk in and confirm it, but I do see Israel joining the E.U. in the process of the peace plan.  That might be a condition for peace.
