Libya
Got New Nukes 'In March'
Vienna - Turkey is now seen as a source of centrifuge parts shipped to
Libya's nuclear weapons programme, diplomats said on Saturday, after revelations
that Tripoli had received new clandestine shipments of equipment as late as this
March.
Libya agreed in December 2003 to dismantle its weapons of mass destruction programmes but last March a container of components for sophisticated L-2 centrifuges capable of enriching uranium to bomb-grade levels arrived by boat in Libya, the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said in a confidential report.
Mining
Of Raw Uranium Continues In Congo
SHINKOLOBWE, Congo - Business is booming in the
mining zone that supplied uranium for the atomic bombs unleashed on Hiroshima
and Nagasaki — despite a decree by Congo's president banning all mining
activity here.
President Joseph Kabila ordered the zone closed three months ago amid growing concerns that unregulated nuclear materials could get into the hands of so-called rogue nations or terrorist groups. Yet 1,000 miles away from the capital, Kinshasa, thousands of diggers are still hacking away at a dark cavity of open earth in this southeastern village, filling thousands of burlap sacks a day with black soil rich in cobalt, copper — and radioactive uranium.
Lieberman's
"Disengagement" Plan Calls For Exiling "Disloyal" Israeli
Arabs
Transportation Minister Avigdor Lieberman
(National Union) presented visiting Russian officials over the weekend with his
"Plan for the Separation of Nations." The plan is based on the
principle of separating Jews from Arabs, and includes the exiling of Israeli
Arabs deemed disloyal to the state. At Sunday's cabinet meeting, Prime Minister
Ariel Sharon condemned Lieberman's plan, saying, "We regard [Israeli Arabs]
as part of the State of Israel."
"It would be right if the Quartet, including Russia, were to support my
plan out of a deep understanding that only this way - and not via baseless plans
- can it actually be possible to reach an end to the conflict and cancel the
reasons leading up to it," Lieberman said after his meeting with Alexander
Galkin, Russian President Vladimir Putin's personal representative in the
Quartet for Mideast peace, and Russian Ambassador to Israel Gennady Tarasov.
Sharon
Buys Another Week
Ariel Sharon continues to insist that his unilateral
withdrawal plan be passed in its entirety. Despite efforts to find a compromise,
he appears prepared even to fire ministers to procure a majority for his full
withdrawal plan.
Egypt
Tells Arafat: Reform Or Be Removed - Report
Egyptian Intelligence Chief Omar Suleiman has reportedly warned Palestinian
Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat to relax his grip on the reins of Palestinian
power or face the possibility that Egypt and the US will cease to block Prime
Minister Ariel Sharon from carrying out his threat to "remove" the
chairman.
According to a report Monday in the pan-Arab Al-Quds-al-Arabi, Suleiman handed Arafat three demands:
First, to unite all the Palestinian security forces under one command authority, and into three components. These include the police, the Preventative Security Service (equivalent of Israel's General Security Service), and the Palestinian foreign security service (equivalent of Israel's Mossad).
Comments
Apparently, Egyptian Intelligence Chief Omar Suleiman has put Palestinian
Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat on notice. He told Arafat that he must
take a more symbolic role and yield more power to PA Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei
or the shield of protection he enjoys will be removed.
I do see Arafat giving way to Egypt's demands.
They do play a very big leadership role in the Arab community. This could
be the break that negotiators have been looking for to propel this peace
agreement in the right direction.
Despite calls by Congo President
Joseph Kabila, the mining of uranium is still said to be going strong. The
real concern is that a portion of the black market uranium will get into the
hands of rogue third world countries. It's inevitable and my fear is that
we will live to see terrorists explode a nuclear device on American soil.
For months
Libya has been calling for Israel to lay down their nuclear arsenal and subject
themselves to international inspectors. Well, it's a good thing they did
not yield to international pressure. But it doesn't take a rocket
scientist to figure out that Libya has never intended on disclosing their real
nuclear capabilities. Hiding weapons from the naive international
inspectors is an art the Arab world has perfected and the world just seems to
buy right into.
I'm
sorry, but I still believe Iraq had nuclear weapons and our attack against them
was justified. But as I've said many times, we didn't need a reason to
take out what we perceived to be a hostile administration. The truth of
the matter is we better take out a few more before it's too late. It’s
believed that a dozen or more countries are on the verge of becoming nuclear
capable. That will prove to be a major problem in the future.
Israeli Transportation
Minister Avigdor Lieberman has proposed an alternative plan to Ariel Sharon's
disengagement plan. The plan basically addresses the problem of the
disloyal Israeli-Arab population and calls for them to be exiled. He feels that
they are cooperating with enemies of Israel and will one day rise up fight to
overthrow the state.
This would certainly be in
Israel's best interest, but world opinion would never allow them to do such a
thing.
The information I am bringing you doesn't necessarily
mean that the Lord is coming at any moment (but He could). The fact that
Israel is a nation again is the real sign of His eminent return. But the
real tragedy is that many are living a life outside of Christ. Some of you
who are reading this article may not even live another day, month or year let
alone go through the tribulation period. Then where would you be?
Where will you spend eternity?
