WASHINGTON (AP) - The State Department acknowledged Thursday it was wrong in reporting terrorism declined worldwide last year, a finding used to boost one of President Bush's chief foreign policy claims - success in countering terror.

Instead, both the number of incidents and the toll in victims increased sharply, the department said. Statements by senior administration officials claiming success were based "on the facts as we had them at the time. The facts that we had were wrong," department spokesman Richard Boucher said.

SEA ISLAND, Ga (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin (news - web sites) stepped into the U.S. political campaign on Thursday, saying the Democrats had "no moral right" to criticize President Bush (news - web sites) over Iraq (news - web sites).

The Kremlin leader, answering a reporter's question in Sea Island, Georgia, suggested that the Democrats were two-faced in criticizing Bush on Iraq since it had been the Clinton administration that authorized the 1999 bombing of Yugoslavia by U.S. and NATO (news - web sites) forces.

The reporter had asked Putin to respond to U.S. press articles questioning Russia's place at the G8 feast of leading industrial countries.

I have readers from all over the world.  I have a Muslim reader, who from time to time, writes me and lets me in on what the Quran has to say regarding the endtimes. 

After my last article regarding the Quran stating that the land of Israel was divinely given by God to the Jews, I received an email from him.  He is a devote Muslim and from Istanbul.  He also has come forward and stated that the Quran does acknowledge that the land of Israel was divinely given by God to the Jews.  But he does have have a few reservations regarding what I said.  Here is an excerpt of his email that he sent me.

Hi Sir Malone: 

I'm Burak from Istanbul and I have read your last comments about Quran stating that Holy Land is Jewish. Quranic verse 5:20-21 and use of 'written' word are totally true but your comments blaming Arabs for overtaking land and building a mosque on the holy temple mount of Israel is completely wrong. That's because, in same speech and decisiveness Revelation 11:1-2 says:  1: Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff, and I was told: "Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those who worship there,

2: But DO NOT measure the court outside the temple; leave that out, for IT IS GIVEN over to the nations, and they will trample over the holy city for forty-two months.

According to these verses Jesus Christ says clearly the temple mount of God belongs to Arabs predicting 6 centuries before Islam. This is really very important. Holy Land divinely mandated to Jews but TEMPLE OF GOD area belongs to Islam. (Islam=surrender to God and Muslim=surrenderer of God)  

We know from the Book of Revelation that the Jewish Temple will be rebuilt and antichrist comes in. You must know, today rebuilding the temple is the number 1 aim of Jews in the world. It is a necessity for their messiah's coming not for Jesus Christ.  

Quran supports Jews and Bible supports Islam..There is no any confusion in this because it is truth that Quran mentions Jesus as Messiah, accepts His fatherless born, tells Him returning in the last days as 'flesh Jews' reject this all. You are well aware of Revelation 11:1-2 so a man who waits Jesus -not an another man- as Christ must protect today's Dome of Rock and Omar Mosque.  

Lastly, you know the Quranic code which I told you about a disaster in Israel. I realize this event is strongly possible the destruction of the Dome of Rock and Omar Mosque. It left less than 8 months for this event and another sign is about antichrist's coming: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!” (Isa. 14:12 KJV).  

'Son of the morning', 'the morning star', 'son of dawn' or with the other name Venus (which was remembered with woman through the history) transits Sun a few days ago. Venus the only planet got an inclined orbit and moves from west sky to the east opposite to sun and others.

Of course, we do have some strong differences in how we interpret the scriptures, but I do find it interesting that the Quran really does support a Jewish state having the divine right to exist.  To me this is a major bombshell.
