For the first time, Iran has claimed a capability to develop and produce a missile with a range of 2,000 kilometers. The breakthrough was said to have been part of the enhanced Shihab-3 program, also known as the Shihab-4.
"Now we have the power to launch a missile with a range of 2,000 kilometers," former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, a leading aide to Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei, said. "And experts know that once a country has made such a step, all further steps are accessible."
The officials said Iran was planning to assemble the Shihab-5 missile, with a range of 5,500 kilometers and the intercontinental Shihab-6, with a range of up to 10,000 kilometers.

A word about the upcoming U.S. presidential election.
This isn't a matter of who is going to get the job done. They're both
capable men with limited power who must take what is set before them.
Neither are going to change the world nor make your life that much
different. It's just not within their power!
This election is more about spiritual issues whether you believe it or not. If President Bush is re-elected, it will give him four more years of opportunity to put in place conservative judges. Christians, we need that time! This could also serve to be a major blow to Pro-Choice and gay marriage legislation.
Our country is in serious spiritual trouble, and barring another 9/11 size terrorist attack, it doesn't look to be changing course anytime soon. Every Christian needs to take the opportunity to vote and vote as the Lord would lead you to. Enough said!
Iran has disclosed for the first time that it has a long range missile that has the capacity to carry a nuclear payload at least 2,000 kilometers (Shihab-4). "Officials said Iran was planning to assemble the Shihab-5 missile, with a range of 5,500 kilometers and the intercontinental Shihab-6, with a range of up to 10,000 kilometers."
This of course, is not good news for Israel, but I'm sure their intelligence network has known about this for sometime. In my opinion, I believe it is only a matter of time before Israel must make a proactive move against Iran. I really look for Israel to stage an air strike against their nuclear facilities in the near future. The only thing that could prevent that from happening, I believe, is peace
