Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Monday he will seek final Cabinet approval for a Gaza withdrawal in February, four months earlier than planned, and he threatened harsh retaliation if Palestinian militants try to disrupt the pullback.

An Israeli general said Monday that the army could move back into the Gaza Strip at any time after next year's planned pullout from the territory if attacks by Palestinian militants continue.

TEL AVIV, Dec. 22 (JTA) — A conference in London might be the next stop on the long road to Mideast peace, if British Prime Minister Tony Blair has his way.

The first Israeli settlement in Gaza has agreed to be uprooted without incident.  In fact, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has moved up the withdrawal date to February 2005.  This may go smoother than previously believed.

I do look for the Gaza pullout to go as scheduled.  I also feel Israel may change their mind and attend Tony Blair's peace conference in London.

But make no mistake, when peace is finally established, look for the Arab world led by Russia to attack Israel.  That is their only goal, but at this point I don't see what part Russia will play.  Since Ezekiel 38:12 says that the purpose of the attack will be "to take a spoil" I am assuming that at some point Israel is going to discover oil. 

I will keep you updated as we walk closer to that final day.
