The heart-rending scenes of Israel's Gaza withdrawal — families uprooted from their homes, anguished worshippers praying as their synagogue was emptied — could be a big image booster for Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, showing the world his nation's sacrifices as he redraws Israel's borders.

Israeli troops dragged sobbing Jewish settlers out of homes, synagogues and even a nursery school Wednesday and hauled them onto buses in a massive evacuation, fulfilling Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's promise to withdraw from the Gaza Strip after a 38-year occupation.

Now that Israel has relinquished the Gaza Strip, look for the West Bank to fall next...ultimately to be followed by Jerusalem.  Yes, eventually I believe half of Jerusalem will be turned over to the Palestinians and will become their capital.  Of course, in return Israel will be allowed to make Western Jerusalem their capital and they will be granted permission to rebuild their temple.

This evacuation has shifted prophecy from neutral to high gear.  This may well have started the countdown of our final days.  Look for Jerusalem to be the next giant step toward a Palestinian state.  It is my belief that Palestine will demand East Jerusalem to be their capital.  The Bible says in Zechariah 12:3 "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people."  Look for the world to place a tremendous amount of pressure on Israel to concede half of Jerusalem.

Of course, this will end in war and badly for the Arab world.  I look for the Arab nations to storm Israel shortly after statehood.  It was never about peace but better positioning for a full all out attack.  When this does happen look for the leaders of world to turn its back on Israel and cut their losses.

I am convinced that we are living in the last days and the prophetic clock is about to run out.
