While
Qatar's foreign minister urges Arab leaders
to start peace talks with Israel, Palestinian media sources are pumping out
words of war and destruction.. They believe now is the time to destroy
Israel and that it is an attainable goal. The Bible foretells that both of
these events will play out in the end times (Daniel 9:25-17, Ezekiel 38 &
39). The question is which will come first?
I have always believed that Israel would make peace with the antichrist which would include peace with the Arab world. The Bible says the peace accord will last for seven years.
Many have written me questioning my belief that the antichrist will rise up out of the European Union. Most have pointed to the United States and the United Nations as viable possibilities.
I really can't see that being the case due to the fact that most Bible believing scholars interpret the peace treaty to be between Israel and the antichrist. Of course, that's not to say that other nations will not be involved in the peace accord as well. But the U.S. already has a long standing friendship with Israel so no peace treaty is needed. As far as the U.N. is concerned, Israel has been a member of the U.N. for many years. I can't imagine a scenario where a treaty would ever be necessary.
On the other hand, Israel has always had great interest in gaining membership or neighborhood status in the E.U. That would take some type of alliance or membership agreement. More than likely there would be a time limit attached to it.
Another question is what part does the Palestinian-Israeli disengagement plan play in the overall picture? It will ultimately lead to the rise of the antichrist. When Jerusalem becomes the sticking point to peace that's when I believe the antichrist will come to the forefront. The Palestinians have demanded that no other city but Jerusalem could be their capital. I believe this will be a sticking point that will not be solved until the antichrist comes on the scene. He will be responsible for not only solving this problem but a host of other world problems including economic.
If you haven't heard, Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has stated he would be willing to share any nuclear technology Iran has acquired with other Islamic nations. You can be sure this will be a major world problem that may be the catalyst that starts the great war of Revelation chapter six.
Also in the news, leaders from all over the world gathered in New York City (U.N.) for the largest global summit in history.
Are you ready to meet the Lord? If not, your time is running out!
