Comments
The Quartet has told Palestine to disarm militants and for Israel to stop creating settlements in the West Bank.  Since Palestine is essentially a terrorist run nation that's going to be very difficult.  They may stop in word but when the time is right they will rise again.

For the life of me I just don't understand the militants.  If it were me I would stop the violence and let the world body create a Palestinian state...and the sooner the better.  The Palestinian state is only good for Palestine.  There is no strategic or military upside for Israel whatsoever.

Egypt has asked Israel if they could play an expanded role in patrolling the borders.  Yesterday in an interview, I heard an Egyptian leader deny that there were military style weapons being smuggled into Gaza via the Egyptian-Palestinian border as claimed by Israeli intelligence.  You can bet that's a lie.  Israel would be smart to halt all Egyptian patrols.  They certainly can't be trusted and Bible prophecy bares this out.

President Bush has endorsed Prime Minister Ariel Sharon over Benjamin Netanyahu in the upcoming Israeli elections.  If Sharon wins it will keep the roadmap on schedule.  If Mr. Netanyahu wins it would put the entire peace process on hold or even destroy what many believe could be the last chance for peace in the region.  Look for Sharon to be re-elected.

In the past, I  have touched on what the Bible says about an enormous oil reserve waiting to be found under Israel.  There are many different explorers in Israel looking for that vast fortune and I hope they all are successful.  One of these explorers is John Brown a Texas oil man who says that the Bible foretells of a great oil deposit located in the northern region of Israel where the tribe of Manasseh is located (see map in article).  He believes the Bible spells out that a great amount of oil is located in that area and he has been ordained by God to find it.

"Brown, pointing to the Bible he says he always carries with him, referred to several biblical passages he is certain indicate where to find petroleum. He stressed that two passages, detailing God's blessings to each of biblical patriarch Jacob's 12 sons, are very specific:

Brown also pointed to other verses, such as the continuation of Joseph's blessing in Deuteronomy 33: "For the deep that couches beneath ... and for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of primordial hills, and for the precious things of the earth."

The Twelve Tribes were each given a section of Israel as inheritance, Brown explains.

Mapping the tribes' biblical territory indeed shows that Asher's area resembles a giant foot "dipped" into the top, or "crown" area of the land of Joseph's son, Manasseh.

"The oil is there, where Joseph's head is met by Asher's foot," said Brown."  http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=46428

There has been talk at the U.N. of moving their headquarters to a new location.  Jerusalem has come up more than once.  Don't be surprised if their headquarters is moved to Jerusalem.  That may become one of the steps in the peace process in the future.  Putting the U.N. headquarters in Jerusalem would certainly give Israel instant status and credibility in the eyes of the rest of the world.

The European Union has pledged 280 million euros toward development of the Gaza Strip.  The money will focus on maintaining the momentum of the pullout and revitalizing the P.A. economy.  Look for strong support from other countries as well in an attempt to get Palestine up and running as quickly as possible.  It is important to the quartet and especially the U.S. that this attempt at Middle East peace be successful.

A word about the rapture.  I look for the rapture of the church to take place every day.  And in keeping with the Word of God we should.  Frequently, I get emails from readers asking me when I believe the rapture will take place.  My answer is always the same, "I don't know".  It could be tonight, tomorrow or next year.  It could even be years from now (although I doubt it).

But there's another event that could take place even sooner that we all must face...death!  If you were to die tonight where would you spend eternity?  There is a worse place to find yourself in than the tribulation period and it's called hell.  If you don't know the Lord as Savior or struggling with this issue I invite you to take a look at my tract entitled Hell, The Judgment, And The Lake Of Fire.  If after reading the tract you find yourself with questions please feel free to email me.  Don't let this opportunity to know the Lord slip away.
