(question 40) that would shock the world and lead by an unlikely Arab ally…Russia. Russia has yet to surface as a suspect but that day is very close. Although, strange bedfellows were seen making nice today after decades of border clashes and near war. Both countries claim that this is only a mere friendship pact and not a military alliance. This is nothing more then a joint show of strength against the U.S. and its allies. With the deployment of a U.S. missile defense shield in the works, Russia and China have decided that their alliance is a good way to protect against any hostile attacks from the West. Actually, I believe that when Russia makes its move on Israel, an ally in China will definitely make the United States think twice about it's role as protector of Israel. As stated in every major newspaper and news station around the world, Israel is nearing the end of its patience with the Palestian's. After numerous successful and unsuccessful suicide bombing attempts Israel has decided that enough is enough. According to reports from a London newspaper Israel is making plans to stage an all out assault on the West Bank and drive out the Palestian's for good. Even though neighboring Arab allies Syria, Egypt, and Jordan have vowed to stay out of it, if this attack does come about, expect a quick reversal of plans. Iraq has already thrown its hat into the ring and has pledged its support to the PLO if the need arises. I can't see Iran to far behind. A lot can happen in the next 48 to 72 hours that could curtail this runaway train. Make no mistake, these are extremely dangerous times and many don't realize how dangerous. This is what I see taking place. It is my strong belief that unless the Lord intervenes there will be war in the Middle East very soon unlike any we have seen. I believe that the end result of this conflict will lead to the war describe in Ezekiel 38 & 39. It is very conceivable that the Arab allies (Russia included) could stage a sneak attack and catch Israel off guard, but in the end, be destroyed by the head of God. Of course, after today's suicide bombing (Monday July 16th) in northern Israel, it wouldn't surprise me if Israel does not march on the West Bank and drive out the PLO once and for all. If that happens, look for a strong counter attack from the Arab world. With China as a new ally of Russia, the U.S. would certainly stay out of anything that did not directly threaten their interests. Israel and the U.S. are good allies, but I doubt seriously that they're (U.S.) ready to get into a war that they might not possibly be able to win. Of course, God could be leading another way that could result in peace and the ushering in of that final terrible day. Either way, I have a feeling something earth shaking is going to happen before the year 2001 is over. Pastor Malone
