Iran
Moving Its Foreign Currency Reserves
Iran is moving its foreign currency
reserves out of European banks as a pre-emptive measure against any possible
U.N. sanctions over its nuclear program, the Central Bank Governor said Friday.
Ebrahim Sheibani told reporters that Iran has started transferring the foreign currency reserves from European banks to an undisclosed location, the semiofficial Iranian Students News Agency reported.
"We transfer the foreign exchange reserves to wherever we deem fit," Sheibani was quoted by ISNA as saying. "We have begun transferring. We are doing that."

STAR
JONES: TERROR WAR BATTLE OF BUSH, BIN LADEN EGOS...
Star Jones has told viewers that the war on terror is nothing more than a
clash of male egos between President Bush and Osama bin Laden, the NEW YORK POST
reports.
Yesterday, the co-host of ABC's THE VIEW told viewers during a discussion of bin
Laden's latest audio tape:
"You know what? At some point, one of these men has to put it back in his
pants and zip up the zipper."
Officials said the refusal by the insurgency groups to the Palestinian Authority plan would ensure that Palestinian Legislative Council elections in the Gaza Strip would be torpedoed by gun battles. They said the PA would be helpless to stop the ruling Fatah movement from raiding polling stations and intimidating inspectors.
"We are expecting a very violent Election Day," an official said.
Comments
I usually don't get to fired up over a statement made by a celebrity,
but this is over the top. This was reported in the Drudge Report today
regarding a comment THE VIEW co-host Star Jones made. Here is an excerpt
of the article.

She even suggested that Bush hold some kind of talk with the man behind 9/11."

As crude as this comment is, this is a slap in the face to all true Americans, not to mention the relatives of those who died during 911. I am offended that she would reduce this terrible tragedy to a war of ego's and use such a vulgar example to prove her point.
I have gone to ABC's website and sent Ms. Jones an email stating my objections. I encourage you to do the same. Here is the address to the website where she can be reached: Star Jones email. She says that she reads her email daily.
Prophecy News
Israeli statesman Shimon Peres
has said
that Israel would consider negotiations with Hamas if they renounce violence and
disarm. I see the day coming when Israel will not only negotiate with
Hamas but with the rest of the militant groups as well. It maybe one
at a time, but I do see it happening.
As we march closer to finalizing a Palestinian state look for the international community to demand that the militants disarm...at least in public. The goal of all militant groups will still be to destroy Israel and push them into the sea, but they've realized there is much to gain through peaceful means. In time, they will rise up and march against Israel, but in the end, they will have a rude awakening (Ezekiel 38 & 39).
Here's another big move toward a Palestinian state. In the latest newspaper poll it was found that the majority of Israelis would be in favor of a further unilateral pullout from the West Bank.
What does all this mean? With the polls in Israel leaning toward giving the Palestinians the West Bank and East Jerusalem in exchange for peace it's only a matter of time before it will happen.
Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu claims that rival Kadima plans to set Israeli boundaries back to pre-1967 borders if they win in the March elections. I don't believe they will go that far but they will make drastic land concessions for peace.
Israel is pressing Russia to go along with sanctions proposed by the West against Iran for nuclear weapons violations. Unfortunately, both Russia and China look poised to veto any sanctions against Iran that may come before the U.N.
In a show of defiance against the West, Iran has withdrawn all foreign currency reserves out of European banks in order to avoid any attempt to freeze them. I still believe Iran will come to its senses, but this move does make one wonder how far they will go. I'm certain Israel will never allow Iran to go nuclear so someone's going to have to blink...and soon!
Of course, there's always the possibility that Israel could go forward with an air strike against Iranian nuclear sites and completely destroy them. If that be the case, Iran would be forced to retaliate with conventional weapons. Frankly, they've already traveled down that road and know they are no match for Israel. They (Iran) put on a good propaganda front, but the truth is, Israel is a very technologically sophisticated and powerful nation...and they do have nuclear weapons. I could be wrong, but I don't see Iran and Israel getting into a major confrontation before peace is established.
The coming months will bring much light to this situation.
