Moves Shahab-3 missiles Within Striking Range Of Israel
Reporting this, the dissident Foundation for Democracy in
Iran, a US-based watch group, cites sources in the US and Iran. The FDI adds
from Iran: on June 16, the high command of the Revolutionary Guards Air Force
ordered Shahab-3 missile units to move mobile launchers every 24 hours instead
of weekly. This is in view of a potential pre-emptive strike by the US or
Israel.
Israeli
Hints At Preparation To Stop Iran
JERUSALEM (AP) - Israel's defense minister hinted Saturday that the
Jewish state is preparing for military action to stop Iran's nuclear program,
but said international diplomacy must be the first course of action.
"Israel will not be able to accept an Iranian nuclear capability and it must have the capability to defend itself, with all that that implies, and this we are preparing," Shaul Mofaz said.
Iran:
Israeli Military Strike Against Nuclear Program Would Be 'Fatal Mistake'
Iran on Sunday said Israel would be making a "fatal
mistake" if it resorted to military action against Tehran's nuclear
program, and dismissed comments on the issue made by Defense Minister Shaul
Mofaz as a "childish game."
On Saturday, Mofaz said "Israel will not accept Iran's nuclear
armament," and added that Israel was prepared for military action to stop
Iran's nuclear program.
Mofaz, speaking at the Herzliya Conference, said that although Israel is
currently satisfied with the international diplomatic efforts aimed at
containing Tehran's nuclear program, Israel must prepare to defend itself.

Poised For Big Showing In Palestinian Parliament Vote
Less than a week before the Palestinian parliament election,
the ruling Fatah Party is just as worried about a threat from within its ranks
as about the fierce competition from the Islamic militant Hamas. Dozens of Fatah
activists, disgruntled after being kept off their party's slate of candidates,
are running as independents, threatening to split the Fatah vote and further
boosting Hamas' electoral prospects.

JERUSALEM (AP)

The dissident Foundation for Democracy in
Iran, a US-based watch group, say that reliable sources both in the U.S. and
Iran have credible evidence that Iran will attempt an underground nuclear test
on or before March 22, 2006.
The big question is will the U.S., Israel or both try a pre-emptive strike before this time? With the Israeli elections on March 28th, it would be a show of weakness for acting prime minister Ehud Olmert if he allowed this nuclear test to go off without a challenge.
Israel is sending signals to Iran that they would not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons. Iran has countered calling any military action by Israel a "fatal mistake". Of course, this sounds a lot like the rhetoric we heard from Saddam Hussein just before his empire crumbled. But make no mistake, this is a very serious matter that could bring far reaching consequences.
As I have said in the past, I don't see this going to war, but that's only because the Bible calls for a major attack by Iran and Russia during a time of peace for Israel. That doesn't count out a possible air attack by Israel/U.S. with a limited or no response at all from Iran. There are so many possibilities that could happen including just letting Iran obtain nuclear weapons. Other countries have obtained them without reprisal (North Korea, India, and Pakistan), why would this be any different? One big difference, Iran is bent on wiping Israel off the face of the map.
This is a very tense and dangerous time for which the threat of the use of nuclear weapons is a definite possibility. What could happen in the next few months could change the world forever...or life could just go on as before.
Are you ready to meet the Lord? If not, your time is running out!
