Solana:
Hamas Must Change If It Is To Keep Receiving EU Funds
European Union foreign policy chief Javier
Solana said Tuesday that it would be very difficult to continue funding
the Palestinians unless Hamas renounces violence and recognizes Israel.
"The moment the new government is in place, if Hamas has not adapted
its platform as required, it will be very difficult for the EU to continue
funding the Palestinian Authority," Solana said. "For us, it is
fundamental. We cannot cooperate with an organization that won't renounce
violence and be able to negotiate with the other side."

Extends Aid To
Palestinians In Bid To Prevent 'Mini Iran'
EU foreign ministers meeting

Egyptian
Intelligence Chief In Damascus For Talks With Hamas
Egypt's intelligence chief, a veteran
mediator among the Palestinians, visited Damascus to meet with Hamas
leaders Tuesday, part of an Arab diplomatic push to contain the
fallout from Hamas' landslide victory in Palestinian elections.
Hamas is looking for Egypt's help in persuading Palestinan Authority
Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to bring his Fatah party into a Palestinian
unity government with the radical movement, Hamas officials have
said.
Report:
Israel May Talk With Hamas
Cairo has received guarantees from
the United States and Israel that they would agree to hold negotiations
with Hamas if the group agrees to negotiate on the basis on a two-state
principle, the London-based Arabic newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat reported
Tuesday, quoting Egyptian sources.
Hamas
Asking Israel For Help: Terror Group Using Mediators To
Petition For Return Of Top Leader To Gaza
JERUSALEM – In what may be the first attempt by Hamas to
negotiate indirectly with the Jewish state since it won last week's
Palestinian elections, the terror group has asked Egypt to petition Israel
and European countries to allow its overall leader Khaled Meshaal to enter
Gaza, a top Hamas official told WorldNetDaily.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Hamas is presenting Meshaal – responsible for directing dozens of suicide bombings and shooting attacks – as a "moderating influence" on the terror group who is capable of restraining "hardline elements."

The U.S. and Europe won support from Russia and China early Tuesday to refer
Iran's nuclear activities to the UN Security Council.

Exclusive: Moscow Believes Iran Has Developed A Large Nuclear Device In
Its “Preliminary Stage.”
Russian FM Sergei Lavrov put
this information before the five permanent UN Security Council and
Germany, which Tuesday night, Jan. 30, agreed for the first time to haul
Iran before the UN body over its nuclear program. According to Lavrov,
Russian intelligence estimates that Iran is now capable of detonating this
nuclear device, or in other words carrying out its first nuclear test.
Ahead of the IAEA’s Thursday meeting in Vienna, a leaked report claimed Iran had last week given the watchdog sensitive documents which apparently showed how to mold highly enriched uranium into the hemispherical shape of warheads, in an effort to stave off referral to the Security Council.
Expert: Iran Has Nuclear BombA leading U.S. nuclear proliferation expert said Teheran obtained an atomic bomb about a decade ago from the nuclear black market. The expert said Iran sought to produce additional nuclear weapons through technology from Pakistan and other countries.
Iran:
Referral Means End Of Diplomacy
TEHRAN,
Iran (AP) - Iran struck back Tuesday at the Big Five powers' decision to refer
Iran's nuclear file to the U.N. Security Council, saying the move would mean the
end of diplomacy over its atomic program. Still, in what appeared to be an
attempt to show it was cooperating with the West, Iran...

Putin
Touts Russia's Missile Capabilities "Russia ... has tested missile systems that no one
in the world has," the ITAR-Tass, Interfax and RIA Novosti news
agencies quoted him as saying at a news conference. "These missile
systems don't represent a response to a missile defense system, but they
are immune to that. They are hypersonic and capable of changing their
flight path."
President Vladimir Putin
boasted Tuesday that Russia has missiles capable of penetrating any
missile defense system, Russian news reports said.

As stated in yesterday's article,
the quartet has okayed continued support for a Hamas lead Palestinian
Authority. Today they revealed why they decided to continue
funding...to prevent Palestine from looking to other nations such as Iran
or Syria for financial support. They didn't want to encourage the
creation of a mini Iran. But world pressure on Hamas continues to be
heavy with very little wiggle room. Despite sending the wrong
signal, in the end, this will get done.
On a more positive note, Egypt has arranged a possible meeting with Israel and Hamas. This would be a major breakthrough if Hamas could get on board with the rest of the world. It's hard to believe they are serious, but the Bible does predict that peace will come before they are attacked by the Russian-Arab Alliance (Ezekiel 38:1-14). At some point, Hamas will either have to jump in line or be removed.
It's official! Iran's nuclear file has been sent to the U.N. Security Council. All five U.N. permanent members agreed to refer Iran despite their allowing IAEA last minute access to one of their nuclear facilities. Iran said this decision would mark the end of diplomacy over its nuclear program.
Some military experts believe Iran already has a nuclear bomb. "The one functional device Iran has," Mansoor Ijaz, a U.S. nuclear scientist, said, "is the result of clandestine transfers from Pakistan's rogue black market nuclear scientist, Abdul Qadeer Khan, who sold the Iranians antiquated but highly effective Chinese bomb designs and parts, including spherical shell casings, spherical Krytron detonation switches and empirical software testing modules." http://www.menewsline.com/stories/2006/january/01_30_2.html
"Ahead of the IAEA’s Thursday meeting in Vienna, a leaked report claimed Iran had last week given the watchdog sensitive documents which apparently showed how to mold highly enriched uranium into the hemispherical shape of warheads, in an effort to stave off referral to the Security Council. At the same time, according to the same unnamed diplomats, the agency passed to Tehran intelligence provided by the US that suggests Iran has been working on details of nuclear weapons, such as missile trajectories and ideal altitudes for exploding warheads. When the IAEA asked Iran for an explanation of the documents, Tehran replied they had been obtained from members of a nuclear black market network." http://www.debka.com/
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in a recent address that they now have perfected a missile system that is "capable of penetrating any missile defense system" in the world. Things are getting very dangerous around the world. I've always said that if we were given a glimpse into what's really going on behind the scenes in world diplomacy it would scare us to death.
Are you ready to meet the Lord? If not, your time is running out!
