Iran, Russia
Discuss Nukes; U.N. To Step In
TEHRAN - Iran and Russia held more nuclear talks on Tuesday as the U.N.
Security Council prepared to consider U.S.-led demands that it send a "very
strong message" to Tehran over its suspected weapons program.
The closed-door talks in Moscow were launched at Iran's request on Monday, the
same day that Russia accused Tehran of obstructing efforts to find a diplomatic
solution. Russia's Security Council reported no progress in Tuesday's session,
but said the talks would continue.
Israeli
Raid On Jail Enrages Palestinians
JERICHO, West Bank - Israeli forces driving bulldozers and firing tank shells
burst into a Palestinian prison Tuesday and removed dozens of inmates in a raid
targeting prisoners convicted of killing an Israeli Cabinet minister.
Furious Palestinians attacked offices linked to America and Europe, torching the
British Council building in Gaza City and kidnapping a foreign employee of the
Red Cross in Gaza. Gunmen also seized four guests -- including two South Korean
journalists and a French woman -- from a Gaza City hotel.
Palestinian

VIENNA (AFP) - Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas called on the European
Union to maintain aid to the Palestinians following a meeting with
Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel, whose country currently holds the EU
presidency.
U.S.
May Shift Aid From Palestinian Authority To Relief Agencies
RIO DE JANEIRO, March 12 — The Bush administration is contemplating an
increase of aid to the Palestinian people while it bars direct aid to the
Palestinian Authority if its Hamas-led
government refuses to abandon its anti-Israel policies, Secretary of State Condoleezza
Rice said Sunday.
Turkey
Two-faced On Terrorism
WASHINGTON, Jerusalem and Brussels were shocked when the Turkish government
recently invited the leader of Hamas, Khaled Meshaal, to Ankara. By hosting the
leader of a terrorist organization — one that has taken terror to new heights
with its suicide bombings of malls and city buses — Turkey undermined its own
cause. After all, Turkey has for many years been campaigning to get its
homegrown Kurdish insurgency classified as a terrorist group. The United States
and European Union have done so. So the invitation to the Hamas leader was
particularly strange coming from Turkey, even while Turkey is negotiating to
join the EU.
Israel's
Election Quandary
This much is clear about Israel's March 28 national election: It is acting
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's race to lose. Mr. Olmert, who became head of state
following Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's Jan. 4 stroke, is the first person to
run for prime minister as head of the new Kadima Party formed by Mr. Sharon in
November.

Twisters Across 5 States - 'It's Just Amazing How Devastating It Is'
SEDALIA, Missouri (AP) -- The frozen chicken that
Joy Rank had been thawing for dinner was still soaking the next morning in a
sink full of water -- a meal abandoned when Rank watched a scene of terror
unfold outside her kitchen window.
A tornado tore through the mobile home park she co-owns Sunday night, flipping over one of six occupied homes and killing a 39-year-old woman inside.
"There's not a lot of damage to the homes people live in," Rank said Monday, crying while sipping coffee in the dim candlelight of her kitchen. But "it really bothered me that a girl had to lose her life."

SEOUL (Reuters) - North

U.S.-backed South Korean forces because the two Koreas are technically still at

U.S.,
China And Taiwan - America's Coming War With China - A Collision Course Over
Taiwan
Ted Galen Carpenter's conclusions are less apocalyptic than the title
"America's Coming War with China" would imply. But the situation is
serious. As the Taiwanese legislature's actions to dissolve the largely symbolic
National Unification Council last month and Beijing's stern rejoinder show,
tension in the Strait is never allayed, only dormant. To avoid conflict, Mr.
Carpenter argues: "Washington badly needs to clarify its Taiwan policy...
Unfortunately, time is running out for them to do so."
To drive home the gravity of the situation, Mr. Carpenter opens his work with a hypothetical showdown between the United States and China, which has overtones of the averted Taiwan Strait crisis in 1996.

To Israel: Stick To Road Map

Iran and Russia are in talks
again. These repeated request for talks with Russia and the E.U. just
seems more like a stall tactic than anything else. It wouldn't surprise me
a bit if they succeed in stalling their way right into nuclear
weapons.
The IDF raided a Palestinian jail this morning seeking a prisoner who participated in the killing of an Israeli cabinet member. Once apprehended the heavily armed siege ended. That sparked fury in the hearts of armed Palestinians who turned their anger toward anyone in the territory who wasn't a Palestinian. Several relief workers and other foreign employees were taken hostage until their demands were met to release of all Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.
Israel and the E.U. were shocked when Turkey invited Hamas terrorist group leader Khaled Meshaal to visit especially since they are campaigning for E.U. membership.
I would be shocked if they are ever granted membership into the E.U. Bible has marked Turkey as one of the countries who will participate in a yet future attack against Israel (Ezekiel 38:6). For this reason, I don't ever see them gaining membership into the E.U.
North Korea is in the news again. Apparently, they have threatened to stage a pre-emptive strike against U.S. backed South Korean forces since they feel they are technically still at war. Some day soon North Korea will march on South Korea and China will take back Taiwan. I expect this to happen during the great war described in Revelation chapter six.
Israeli archaeologist's have found another ancient artifact among the rubble discarded from the Jerusalem temple mount site. This one dates back 3,000 years to the days of King David. Prophecy speaker and radio host Jimmy De Young had this to say about the discovery:
"This major archaeological find is solid
evidence of several things: first, that King David was actually a king of
Israel; second, it proves a presence of Jewish people on the Temple Mount in
Jerusalem, which has been denied by the Muslim world. In fact, the Mufti of
Jerusalem told me that there is no evidence that there was ever a Jew on the
Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
This recently discovered first Temple period artifact reminds one of the truth
of King David and the covenant God made with him that one of his sons would one
day rule and reign from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Second Samuel 7. In fact,
Jeremiah, an ancient Jewish prophet promised that as long as there was a day and
a night, thus the sun and the moon in operation, God's promise to David would
come to pass, Jeremiah 33:14-21.
The discovery of a small seal or bulla from the rubble off the Temple Mount that
refers to King David is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled." http://jimmydeyoung.gospelcom.net/pp/news/index.html
I couldn't have said it better. Lately, it seems every time some Biblical naysayer pops up to refute the validity of the Bible something like this happens shortly after. Of course, this doesn't add to or take away from the fact that salvation comes solely through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross, that He rose again, was seen by over 500 people after the fact and ascended to heaven to be with the Father. But it does strengthen my belief that prophecy will be fulfilled just as the Bible has said.
