British Military Chiefs Believe A US-Led Strike Against Iran Is Inevitable - The Sunday Telegraph Of London
The paper reports the prospect will be aired at a secret high-level UK defense ministry meeting Monday.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report: British generals will examine Iran’s successful test of a Fajr-3 multiple warhead missile that can reach Israel, that was carried out undetected by US or Israel radar Friday, March 31. It was launched on the first day of a large-scale Iranian exercise in the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman.

Attacking Iran May Trigger Terrorism; U.S. Experts Wary Of Military Action Over Nuclear Program
As tensions increase between the United States and Iran, U.S. intelligence and terrorism experts say they believe Iran would respond to U.S. military strikes on its nuclear sites by deploying its intelligence operatives and Hezbollah teams to carry out terrorist attacks worldwide.

Iran would mount attacks against U.S. targets inside Iraq, where Iranian intelligence agents are already plentiful, predicted these experts. There is also a growing consensus that Iran's agents would target civilians in the United States, Europe and elsewhere, they said.

Iran Claims To Have Test-Fired Missile That Can Destroy Warships
TEHRAN, Iran — Iran announced its second major new missile test within days, saying Sunday it has successfully fired a high-speed torpedo capable of destroying huge warships and submarines.

The tests came during war games that Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards have been holding in the Gulf and the Arabian Sea since Friday at a time of increased tensions with the United States over Tehran's nuclear program.

GORBACHEV : 'AMERICA INTOXICATED BY ITS POSITION AS WORLD'S ONLY SUPERPOWER...
IS PUTIN ON THE RIGHT TRACK? Putin is trying to move toward more social-democratic policies--to improve health care, education and the like. But just as Russia is beginning to rise again, the West doesn't accept it. America is intoxicated by its position as the world's only superpower. It wants to impose its will.

Former PM Says Russia Is Turning Into Dictatorship...
A FORMER Russian prime minister has warned that his country is slipping into a dictatorship similar to the harsh regime in neighbouring Belarus.

Mikhail Kasyanov, 48, sacked by President Vladimir Putin in 2004 for questioning his commitment to democracy, said the Kremlin had become so despotic that people increasingly lived in fear. “If Russia continues along the current course it will end up like the regime of Alexander Lukashenko,” he said, referring to the hardline president of Belarus, widely condemned in the West as Europe’s last dictator. “An atmosphere of fear is being created and a sense that everyone is under the state’s control. These are the first steps towards a totalitarian system.

One Killed In Canada Coffee-Shop Explosion
TORONTO (Reuters) - One person was killed when a device exploded in a downtown Toronto coffee shop on Sunday, and police said they had no clues on who the victim was or what exactly caused the blast.

Staff Sergeant Don Cole said the blast took place just after 1 p.m. EDT in the washroom of a Tim Hortons shop, a coffee and doughnut chain that was recently spun off from parent company Wendy's International Inc.

One man was killed.

"It appears there was a device, but we don't know whether the person brought it in with him, or it he was an innocent party, or if he was a suicide, we just don't know," he said.

"It's not something that just blew up by itself, it was some device."

Over the weekend Iran announced that they had developed and successfully tested a missile that had stealth like capacities and could hit multiple targets at the same time.   DEBKAfile, an online newspaper, had this to say about the missile:

"British generals will examine Iran’s successful test of a Fajr-3 multiple warhead missile that can reach Israel, that was carried out undetected by US or Israel radar Friday, March 31. It was launched on the first day of a large-scale Iranian exercise in the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman.

Those sources add that the Israeli Arrow anti-missile system has no answer for multiple warhead ballistic missiles."  http://www.debka.com/

Iran also claimed that they successfully tested a high-speed torpedo capable of destroying huge warships and submarines. The tests were conducted during  recent war games that Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards have been holding in the Gulf and the Arabian Sea.

"The Iranian-made torpedo — called the "Hoot," or "whale" — has a speed of 223 miles per hour, said Gen. Ali Fadavi, deputy head of the Revolutionary Guards' Navy.

That would make it about three or four times faster than a normal torpedo and as fast as the world's known fastest, the Russian-made VA-111 Shkval, developed in 1995. It was not immediately known if the Hoot was based on the Shkval.

"It has a very powerful warhead designed to hit big submarines. Even if enemy warship sensors identify the missile, no warship can escape from this missile because of its high speed," Fadavi told state-run television.

It was not immediately clear whether the torpedo can carry a nuclear warhead."  http://www.foxnews.com/printer_friendly_story/0,3566,190219,00.html

British military leaders will be holding secret high level talks tomorrow to consider the consequences of an attack on Iran.  In my opinion, this is a major sign that a strike may be around the corner.  This is what British newspaper NEWS.telegraph had to say:

"It is believed that an American-led attack, designed to destroy Iran's ability to develop a nuclear bomb, is "inevitable" if Teheran's leaders fail to comply with United Nations demands to freeze their uranium enrichment programme.

The International Atomic Energy Authority, the nuclear watchdog, believes that much of Iran's programme is now devoted to uranium enrichment and plutonium separation, technologies that could provide material for nuclear bombs to be developed in the next three years.

The United States government is hopeful that the military operation will be a multinational mission, but defence chiefs believe that the Bush administration is prepared to launch the attack on its own or with the assistance of Israel, if there is little international support. British military chiefs believe an attack would be limited to a series of air strikes against nuclear plants - a land assault is not being considered at the moment."  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2006/04/02/wiran02.xml&sSheet=/portal/2006/04/02/ixportaltop.html

U.S. military experts believe that if such a strike were to take place Iran would retaliate with waves of terrorist attacks on American targets worldwide.  They declined to state how they came to this conclusion but did say that Iran's terrorist network is much better trained and equipped than the Al-Qaeda network.

In the last few weeks I have heard and read numerous commentators discount the possibility of a strike against Iran...some even calling U.S. threats nothing more than a bluff.  I hope they're right, but I would certainly take this bluff seriously.

What does this have to do with Bible prophecy?  It could lead to the fulfillment of many things, but specifically, the Bible says that in the last days there would be wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6), and it would be a time of great peril (very dangerous; II Timothy 3:1).  Certainly, we are living in these times.

Of course, I could mention the increase in knowledge and earthquakes worldwide, the rise of a Russian-Arab partnership and so many other Biblical prophesy that could only have happened during this time (Question# 17: Reasons Why Jesus Could Not Come In Any Other Generation).  But all that would be vain words if you died today without Christ. With that said, I ask that you make a commitment to Christ today.  If you want to become a Christian please click here.

Are you ready to meet the Lord?  If not, your time is running out!
