Oil and gold prices are both soaring with oil at a new record high.  Saudi Arabia has confirmed that they will also help support the Palestinian Authority.  Whether these nations will pledge support over the long haul remains to be seen.

Centre-left opposition leader Romano Prodi has been awarded the victory in the very close Italian general election for prime minister.  His margin of victory over Silvio Berlusconi was just 25,000 votes.

Neither Iran nor the U.S. look to be backing down in this nuclear standoff.  In the back of my mind I definitely feel this could be a critical time in Bible prophecy.  Does this mean the Lord could come soon?  As I have always said, the Lord could come at any moment, but no man knows the day or hour of His coming.

If you're smart you'll be watching how this situation plays out.  Personally, I question how the U.S.-Iran situation will be resolved without bloodshed.  Yes, it's certainly possible that the U.S. will back down and allow Iran to join the nuclear club.  It's also possible they could attack Iran setting their nuclear program back a number of years, but at the some time set off an Iranian terrorist wave.  I really don't see Iran declaring a real war on the U.S. or Israel...at least not now!  Suicide bombers and insurgents will do the dirty work for Mr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (Iranian president).

Keep on watching and waiting, for in an hour we think not the Lord will come (Matthew 24:44).  Could this be the hour?
