Calls For Europe-Wide Referendum On EU Constitution
Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel believes a continent-wide referendum
on the European Union constitution could be used to resolve the impasse over the
charter, according to a newspaper interview released today.
The stalemate started with the charter’s rejection in mid-2005 by French and
Dutch voters. Last month, the 25 EU leaders extended by a year their “pause
for reflection” on what to do next.

Israel
Steps Up Threats Against Palestinian Prime Minister
JERUSALEM (Reuters) - A senior member of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's
party threatened Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas with
assassination on Monday if the group renewed suicide bombings in Israel.
The comments by Tzachi Hanegbi, chairman of parliament's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, followed a sharp escalation of violence along the Israel-Gaza frontier and a declaration by Hamas that a 16-month-old truce had ended.

Iran
Accepts Parts Of Package, Says Others Should Be Eliminated
TEHERAN - Iran says it has accepted some parts of a Western offer aimed at
getting Teheran to drop its nuclear program, but it rejected others while
calling the central point ambiguous. In its first specific comments on the
incentive package, Iran said on Sunday that the key issue of uranium enrichment
- a process that can make nuclear fuel for a power plant or fissile material for
an atomic bomb - needed clarification.

"It is important for the human race to spread out into space for the
survival of the species," Hawking said. "Life on Earth is at the

not yet thought of."

Austrian
Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel is calling for a continent-wide referendum on the
E.U. constitution. He believes that it has a better chance of approval if all
European Union countries vote on it simultaneously.
“I can well
imagine a referendum that takes place simultaneously in all EU states. The
constitution would be accepted if the majority of the European population and
the majority of states approves.”
Schuessel cautioned, however, that “such proposals will have to come from
those countries in which the constitution was rejected – in other words from
France and the Netherlands.”
Efforts to relaunch the constitution are expected to reappear on the agenda when
Germany holds the EU presidency in the first half of 2007.” http://breakingnews.iol.ie/news/story.asp?j=185545978&p=y85546684
This is big news
and I do expect an all E.U. vote to accept or reject the constitution in the
near future. Projected timeframe
could be as soon as 18 months.
I have always
believed that the constitution would have to be approved before the antichrist
could be revealed. For it will be
through the constitution that this permanent president will arise.
It is very likely that the antichrist will rise up to be one of the first
presidents (if not the first).
About midway
through the tribulation period he will rise up and declare himself to be God.
This declaration will be so startling that I believe three nations within
his kingdom will rise up and challenge him (Daniel 7:24).
This could happen before or after the world war of Revelation chapter
six, but I have a tendency to believe it will take place after. With much of the
world under his control these three nations will be the only thing standing in
his way.
Hamas and Fatah are
on the verge of civil war and Israel is more than happy to fuel the fire.
Apparently, Israel has agreed to ship arms to the Fatah terrorist group
all in the name of overthrowing Hamas. It’s
hard to say where this battle will lead in the short-run, but I have to believe
world opinion will step in and calm the infighting before it gets out of hand.
We are less than
six months away from the start of the new seven-year E.U. budget term
(2007-2013). It will also begin the
seven-year ENPI plan (Article#
390: ENPI Seven Year Plan). Keep
an eye on this plan since it does include Israel.
It could turn out to play some part in the future plan of the antichrist.
