Offers by anti-Israel countries to patrol Lebanon, Hizbullah's welcoming of Lebanese troops and the abandonment of vows to disarm the terrorist group leave Hizbullah stronger and Israel weaker.

TEL AVIV – Hezbollah's "victory" over the Jewish state will likely bring down Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's government and lead to a second round of confrontations between Israel and Hezbollah, Lebanon's Druze leader Walid Jumblatt said in a WorldNetDaily interview yesterday.

Israel to Moscow: Hezbollah used Russian-made missiles against IDF
Israel has complained to Russia that Russian-made anti-tank missiles have reached Hezbollah guerrillas who used them against Israel Defense Forces troops in south Lebanon

The Israeli envoy to the UN, Danny Gillerman, said that it would be "difficult if not inconceivable" to accept nations who do not recognize Israel's right to exist and who have no diplomatic relations with Israel ...
Gillerman made the statement in an interview with BBC Online, after Malaysia and Indonesia – who do not recognize Israel - have both said they were willing to send troops to the region.

He said Israel would be "very happy" to accept troops from Muslim countries they have friendly relations with.

White House: N. Korea Nuke Test Would be 'Extremely Provocative'
WASHINGTON — The White House said Thursday that a nuclear weapons test by North Korea would be an "extremely provocative" act that would be denounced around the globe.

The White House was reacting to an ABC News report that the communist nation may be preparing for an underground test of a nuclear bomb.

ABC on Thursday quoted an unidentified senior State Department official as saying, "It is the view of the intelligence community that a test is a real possibility."

The Lebanese/Hizbollah army is starting to move into southern Lebanon taking up positions Israeli troops died for just a few days ago.  A U.N. peacekeeping force of around 3,500 will soon join them.

Israeli envoy to the U.N. Danny Gillerman contends that it is an outrage that the U.N. would even consider a force that is made up of nations that don't even recognize Israel's right to exist nor have relations with them.  Gillerman went on to say that he would have no problem with a force including Arab nations friendly toward Israel "but to expect countries who don't even recognize Israel to guard Israel's safety I think would be a bit naive".

I have to agree.  I don't see this fight ending whether this is just the first step or not!  The minute the next wave of the war comes, and it will come, the U.N. force will head for cover.

At this time, Israel is in crisis both politically and militarily and I'm not sure Prime Minister Olmert is going to survive.  In fact, many are saying that this Hizbollah war will be the downfall of Olmert.  This is what Lebanon's Druze leader Walid Jumblatt told WorldNetDaily.com he predicts for the future.

"I see investigations inside Israel about the Israeli military's terrible performance. I see Olmert failing and [former Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu coming to power. There will be a second round of confrontations with Hezbollah and with other regional elements".  http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=51577

This scenario, if it comes true, wouldn't shock me in the least bit, but I'm not sure it will take affect until after peace is established.  I certainly don't see former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accepting a peace plan with Israel's Arab enemies.  Another thing that stood out to me in Jumblatt's statement was that this war would have a part two but the next time it would include "other regional elements".  Look for those other elements to possibly include Russia and the rest of the Arab world.

Speaking of Russia, Israeli diplomats have flown to Moscow to formerly protest that Hizbollah was using Russian made anti-tank missiles in the war.  It's no secret that Russia sells Iran weapons on a regular basis.  As you know, the anti-tank missiles turned out to be one of Hizbollah's most effective weapons against Israel.

I don't see much in the way of compromise out of Russia.  As many of you know, the Bible says they will come against Israel in the future.  Although there are no direct signs, they may already have a battle plan in the works.

Both Iran and North Korea are not backing down from their nuclear programs.  In fact, U.S. intelligence sources believe North Korea may soon conduct an underground test of a nuclear bomb.

I have to believe that the world is going to fall right into Iran and North Korea's web of deception.  Look for both countries to acquire nuclear weapons and look for them to use them before it's all said and done.  Both will play a major role in the next world war (Revelation 6:6-8).

Today, I read an article titled "A Shaken Landscape" by Robert Padavick.  Mr. Padavick sat down with former senior CIA official Milt Bearden to discuss who the winners and losers were of the Israeli/Hizbollah war and where Hizbollah goes from here.

Bearden stresses that with fighting over it is in neither Hezbollah's nor Israel's interest to restart it — but for very different reasons. Those differences could partially guide the relative strategies for Israel and Hezbollah as the dust settles in the Middle East.

"[Hezbollah] executed their side of the war to the extent that they are national heroes right now," Bearden says. "I think you're going to see that Hezbollah will be a big winner politically."

Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah is already taking steps to seize the momentum, announcing that Hezbollah will immediately begin repairing homes in southern Lebanon and even pay a year's rent to owners of damaged homes. The move underscores the extent to which Hezbollah is ingrained religiously and culturally in Lebanon, especially in the Shiite-dominated south, where the group runs an array of social services, including hospitals and schools.

Bearden says it's also possible that Hezbollah, even after sustaining a fierce Israeli barrage, actually could emerge with an expanded military presence in Lebanon — albeit in a different form.

"It seems to me that what we'd better be on the lookout for is the absorption by the Lebanese army of the military wing of Hezbollah," he says.  http://hotzone.yahoo.com/b/hotzone/blogs8692

I don't think we have to wonder if the Lebanese army has been absorb by Hezbollah.

This war has definitely exposed some of Israel's weaknesses and given considerable courage to their enemies.  But I believe this is all part of God's ultimate plan to bring Israel's enemies against them to display His mighty and miraculous power.  They will come with power and might, and all the world will wonder if this isn't Israel last stand, but in the end, God will bring about a great deliverance.

Are you ready to meet the Lord?  If not, your time is running out!
