Question
1. We are told nobody will know the day or hour of the second coming. As soon as
the agreement is signed we could simply add seven years and we
would
know the time exactly so something doesn’t ring true with this viewpoint…
2.
I agree we are in the end times but as for being very soon I have difficulty
with this. The reason being that the revived European Union has to have a
massive army unit. Agreed it does have an army but not big enough to defeat
the armies from the South and East. It will amass a large army as prophesied
but this will take a considerable amount of years.

I agree with you. I don't believe the ENPI is the foretold start of the
tribulation period.
I
am a pretribulationist. I believe no man knows the day or the hour of
the coming of the Son of Man. That was pretty much the point of the
article.
Secondly,
the E.U. as a whole is much more powerful than you may believe. As of
now, the E.U. is more of a club of member nations. Certainly, the
official E.U. army is not that strong, but the nations of the E.U. have two of
the five permanent members of the U.N. and they are both nuclear powers.
On
top of that, when satan creates his kingdom, led by the antichrist, no nation
will be able to defeat him. We don't really know the true power of satan
because this world has been protected by the Holy Spirit. As
long as the Church is still on earth they will have the protecting power of
the Holy Spirit. But when we are raptured things will change
dramatically. When this happens, satan will be in charge and allowed to
do as he pleases under God's supervision. But make no mistake, no
weapon made by man will be able to stop him.
You're not the only one who
questions this. Many believe the E.U. is not strong enough to do the
things they are prophesied to do. But time has nothing to do with the
power of God or really even satan. If God allowed it, it wouldn’t take
long before satan was in total control of this world right now. The ease
of this will be proven during the final years of the Millennial Reign of
Christ.
Next question, people who
don’t commit to Christ now but were told of the rapture and the powerful
leader signing an agreement for seven years by their friend’s relatives.
After the rapture they would then see the signing and could then add 7 years
and know the time of the second coming?
The tribulation period will not immediately follow the
rapture. In other words...the day after the rapture is not day one of the
tribulation period. Day one of the tribulation period will be the day the
antichrist signs a seven-year covenant with Israel.
Personally, after God raptures the church, He won't
care if you can add seven years and know when the second coming takes place.
It's the rapture of the church that no man knows the day or hour. We still
don't know the day that will happen and never will, and the signing of the
ENPI won't change that.
My point is, if the ENPI is the supposed start of
the seven-year tribulation period as some have attested then all the other
signs that the Bible says will accompany it must come to pass as well.
Such as the rebuilding of the temple, the appearance of the two witnesses, the
revival and sending forth of the 144,000 Jewish evangelist followed by an
unprecedented worldwide martyrdom lead by the antichrist. If the signing
of said peace treaty takes place but all these other signs do not shortly follow
(that must happen) then it's just another peace accord.
As you may know, there are many proposed peace accords
going on in the world today even with Israel. Only one of them will turn
out to be the peace plan that will be signed with Israel and the
antichrist. All others are incidental.
Some will recognize it as such, only because God has
opened their eyes, but many will be blinded from the truth.
One misconception that many today have is that if they
are left behind they will recognize the Biblical signs on the other side of the
rapture. That couldn't be further from the truth.
The same satan who fooled and deceived a person into
not accepting Jesus before the rapture will have even more power to fool that
person after the rapture and during the tribulation period. Besides, God
will send a strong delusion so that not everyone will recognize the truth
unless He deems it. The Apostle Paul, speaking on the deception of the
tribulation period, said this about this horrible time:
"And
for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a
lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had
pleasure in unrighteousness (II Thessalonians 2:11-12)."
Most
Bible scholars (along with myself) believe this is referring to
those who refused the truth before the rapture and feel they will not be granted
a second chance during the tribulation period.
Another problem many don't seem to grasp is that God
calls us to salvation and not the other way around. Our natural flesh
wants nothing to do with God and if you didn't want anything to do with God
before the tribulation period God will not afford you that opportunity after.
I'm sure many would think that the pure logic of seeing
the rapture take place before one's eyes would trigger them to accept the Lord.
Unfortunately, there is no Biblical evidence of this being possible, but in
truth just the opposite.
In the end, God will save those who will respond
to His call...but not everyone will be granted a call during this time.
Are you ready to meet the Lord? If not, your time is running out!
