Exclusive: Al Qaeda was in an uncharacteristically big hurry to criticize
Palestinian elections - only five days after the Abbas declaration of new polls
Normally, Qaeda takes its time before reacting to current events. But now a
videotape of Al Qaeda’s No. 2, Ayman al-Zawahri calling Mahmoud Abbas
“America’s man” was rushed into broadcast over al Jazeera TV, Wednesday
night, Dec. 18. This sign that the Palestine is a burning issue for the Islamist
movement confirms Mossad director Meir Dagan’s assessment to the Knesset
foreign affairs and security committee Monday, Dec. 18, that the jihadist
organization’s sights are now set on Israel.
Iran
Seeks UN Condemnation of Israeli Nukes...
UNITED NATIONS -- Iran
demanded Tuesday that the U.N. Security Council condemn what it said was Israel's
clandestine development of nuclear weapons and "compel" it to place
all its nuclear facilities under U.N. inspection.
If Israel refuses to comply, Iran said the council must take "resolute action" under Chapter 7 of the U.N. Charter which authorizes a range of measures from diplomatic and economic sanctions to military action.

Syria
in Bush's Crosshairs
The Bush Administration has been quietly nurturing individuals and parties
opposed to the Syrian government in an effort to undermine the regime of
President Bashar Assad. Parts of the scheme are outlined in a classified,
two-page document which says that the U.S. already is "supporting regular
meetings of internal and diaspora Syrian activists" in Europe. The document
bluntly expresses the hope that "these meetings will facilitate a more
coherent strategy and plan of actions for all anti-Assad activists."

More than nine out of 10 Americans, men and women alike, have had premarital
sex, according to a new study. The high rates extend even to women born in the

In a video tape news presentation
Al Qaeda’s No. 2, Ayman al-Zawahri called Mahmoud Abbas “America’s man”
for calling for new election. He also made it clear to all involved that
“those who try to liberate the Islamic territories through elections based on
secular constitutions… will not liberate one grain of sand of Palestine.” http://www.debka.com/
I think Mahmoud Abbas may have angered the wrong people and it wouldn't surprise me if he turns up dead. I look at this much like what is going on in Lebanon and see a bad ending for Abbas even though he's a wolf in sheep's clothing.
In other news, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahamdinejad has declared that Iran is now a nuclear power. My take on this is that intelligence data does not back up his claim, but I never say never especially in these last days. Ahamdinejad also reported that "Iranian young scientists reached the zenith of science and technology and gained access to the nuclear fuel cycle without the help of big powers." http://www.ynetnews.com/Ext/Comp/ArticleLayout/CdaArticlePrintPreview/1,2506,L-3342489,00.html
This isn't the first time the free world has been caught off guard and I suspect it won't be the last. I have to stand behind what former Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu warned yesterday...we should beware of the coming "Islamic Reich". Actually, prophecy expert and commentator Hal Lindsay has been warning those who would listen about this for years.
As you know, Iran has declared that it would freely share its nuclear secrets with any Islamic country that wanted them. This will prove to be a major problem in the near future and may serve to bring about a pre-emptive strike by the U.S., the E.U., Israel or all three. I just can't see the West or Israel tolerating the proliferation of nuclear technology to spread among the Islamic world. As we speak, U.S. President Bush is contemplating amassing naval forces in the region as a show of force to the Iran.
On one hand we have negotiators all over the Middle East frantically trying to bring peace to the region. On the other hand we could be facing a war that may reach heights that no man has ever seen nor imagined.
"For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape." (I Thessalonians 5:3)
The question is who will come forward first...the peacemaker (antichrist) or the rumblings of war?
Are you ready to meet the Lord? If not, your time is running out!
