There were no immediate reports of injuries.

In a first reaction to the sanctions to be imposed on Iran in line with United Nations Security Council resolution 1737, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Monday ordered the government to continue the nuclear programs.

"The Iranian nation definitely insists on its (nuclear) rights and the government has no right to make any concession over this great achievement," said Khamenei, who constitutionally has the final say on all state matters.

Iran says it will stop the flow of oil through the Hormuz Strait if the West doesn't stop threatening their economy over its nuclear program.  According to officials, 40% of the world's oil flows through the Hormuz Strait.

Russia and neighboring former Soviet Union nation Belarus are locked in a bitter energy dispute and have blocked (Belarus) the flow of oil to neighboring EU countries.  "EU energy chief Andris Piebalgs said Monday the cuts pose 'no immediate risk' to energy supplies in the EU, but that he was seeking an 'urgent and detailed explanation' of the cuts from authorities in Belarus and Russia."   http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070108/D8MH37GG0.html

Oil is becoming a major factor in these last days.  It's very possible that the next world war could be over oil.  It wouldn't surprise me if Russia marched against its neighboring former Soviet nations retaking all of them.

Iran's threats are real and I don't see them backing down unless a miracle peace agreement materializes in the very near future.  Both sides are gearing up for war with Iran solidifying military agreements with Syria and bolstering its anti-missile system with Russian technology.

On the other hand, Israel has just announced that they will be introducing very soon a large drone aircraft that will be able to detect, identify and shoot down missiles as they are launched.

"The aircraft is designed to fly at high altitudes and is equipped with cameras which identify the missiles as they are launched. It is also armed with missiles, which are used to intercept and destroy those which are fired by the enemy.

Named the 'Eitan,' the unmanned aircraft will be used for long-range operations and is expected to make its first flight within the near future."

If this system proves accurate and reliable it could prevent any nation from successfully launching a nuclear attack against Israel.

Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz has unveiled a "new roadmap" plan.  This plan "calls for stabilizing the security situation over the first six months, negotiations on a final-status agreement over the next six months and implementing the plan over an additional 18 months."

"It's clear to everyone that there is a diplomatic stalemate," Peretz told the faction. "It's true the Saudi plan is based on 1967 borders, but we are not talking about conceding on settlement blocs." http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1167467686780&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull

I don't perceive this plan taking root and being widely accepted by the international community or the Islamic world.  But time is running out and I believe Israel, the Islamic nations, and the world community feel a sense of urgency to bring peace to the region.  For it is through this peace that they believe the world will finally be at rest.

I believe the rumors are correct and that Israel is planning an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities in the near future.  This opens up a very real possibility of war or peace...and it may not just be regional.

Are you ready to meet the Lord?  If not, your time is running out!
