For the first time in history, all Arab nations want to talk to Israel.  US analyst Dr. Robert Satloff had this to say about Israel's enviable position:

"It's my view that Israel does not know what an enviable position it has found itself in," Satloff said, adding: "For the first time in which I can recall, all Arabs want to talk to you. Arabs who like you, and those who don't like you, want talk to you. Those with malicious intentions, and those who do not have malicious intentions. All of them want to talk to you. You have the choice of who you want to speak to, and in which order. That is an enviable position." http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3355631,00.html

Certainly, that doesn't mean peace is inevitable in the near future but the prospects for peace are getting closer.  In fact, as I write, Israel is in secret negotiations with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, which sources say, an agreement to hand over the West Bank could be just weeks away.  According to an aid to European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana, speaking on condition of anonymity, there will be a "historic political evolution and movement in negotiations in the next few weeks and few months, unseen since the Camp David peace talks in 2000."  http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53888

These talks are being conducted by Egypt and the EU, with input from the US.  If you haven't noticed, the US is taking more of a back seat in Middle East negotiations allowing the EU to take a leadership role.  Eventually, they (EU) will get it done.

Putting our focus back on Iran, US lawmakers view this recent show of muscle in the Persian Gulf as a precursor to war with Iran.  In fact, many are saying this is basically the same strategy US President Bush employed to convince Congress to get into the Iraqi War.  “To be quite honest, I’m a little concerned that it’s Iraq again,” Senator Rockefeller said during an interview in his office. “This whole concept of moving against Iran is bizarre. I don’t think that policy makers in this administration particularly understand Iran,” he said. http://www.raidersnewsnetwork.com/full.php?news=2159

Later, in a speech to Congress, Senate majority leader, Harry Reid of Nevada, warned the White House not to take action against Iran without seeking approval from Congress first.

This certainly takes us back to my original belief that public opinion will not allow an attack of this magnitude to take place.  Personally, I believe Iranian President Ahmadinejad is rolling the dice betting that the American public will fight President Bush on his plans to attack Iran.  He knows he doesn't have the military might or technology to withstand a US attack.  But he may win this war without firing a shot.  I guess it's back to my original belief that whoever blinks first is the loser...and President Bush may not have any other choice but to blink.

If US President Bush is forced to abandon the alleged attack, that still doesn't take away Israel's problem...Iran's nuclear ambitions.  That situation will still have to be dealt with and soon.  I don't know that I can support the theory that Israel will attack Iran, but certainly, that is a possibility.

Personally, I see some type of peaceful solution coming before an attack takes place.  Of course, Israel could attack and destroy Iran's facilities with little or no retaliation.  It's possible the military analysts are correct in their assessment that Iran is not near as powerful as they have led the world to believe...but again...that maybe wishful thinking.

Things are happening very quickly, so quickly, that you may find it difficult to keep up as we draw closer to that fateful day.

Are you ready to meet the Lord?  If not, your time is running out!
