Israeli General Outlines Future War Scenario That Sounds Similar To Psalm 83 War; Could Happen This Winter!
Maj.-Gen. Eyal Eisenberg, chief of the Israeli army's Home Front Command, warned on Monday that thanks to the recent revolutions in surrounding Arab states, Israel could face a multi-front war in the very near future.
While Western leaders, and especially Western media, have portrayed the presumedly pro-democracy revolutions in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and Syria as a positive development, Israeli officials have been warning that they are quickly being hijacked by radical Islamists.
In Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood looks poised to win the country's first truly democratic election in decades. Reports in recent days are that other Islamist groups are making their moves in post-revolution Tunisia and Libya.
Far from being optimistic, Gen. Eisenberg told a conference at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv that "after the 'Arab Spring,' we assess that a winter of radical Islam will arrive and as a result the possibility for a multi-front war has increased including the potential use of weapons of mass destruction."
Government officials in Jerusalem blasted Eisenberg in the local media for "exposing classified materials" and "stirring up tensions in the region."
But Eisenberg was not alone in sharing his concerns over what the coming months could hold for the Middle East.
Speaking at a news conference in Brussels on Monday, European Union counter-terrorism chief Gilles de Kerchove cautioned that the Arab revolutions could lead to a power vacuum that terrorist groups will seek to fill.

Something that should be pointed out in regards to a possible Psalm 83 War scenario. I am not completely sold on a Psalm 83 war, but I certainly won't discount it if evidence presents itself as a possibility. Case in point, many of the countries that are projected to take part in the Psalm 83 war are nations recently involved in the supposed Middle East Arab spring or are projected to be victims of it in the near future. Most intelligence analysts believe that Syria will be the next to fall. That would place Egypt, Syria, Lebanon (controlled by Hezbollah), Gaza (controlled by Hamas), and Palestinian Authority ( controlled by Fatah) under the control of radical Islamists. Many believe this change of leadership will result in positive change toward a democratic Middle East, but the truth is, it will lead the Middle East down a road of religious hatred toward Israel. As stated in an earlier video, all Middle East recognized leadership in these countries understood the devastating military power Israel possesses. With many of these countries poised to be taken over by religious extremists leadership, who will likely declare war on Israel based on nothing more than religious hatred toward the Jewish state, a Psalm 83 war scenario can easily be envisioned.
Point number two, the fact that Israeli government officials blasted Maj.-Gen. Eisenberg for "exposing classified materials" and "stirring up tensions in the region," leads me to believe this is a very real war possibility. The fact that it was not down played or dismissed as an inaccurate assessment, but rather labeled as a security breach, speaks volumes as to the real direction Israeli officials believe could be coming.
Eisenberg cautioned that the Arab Spring could turn into the "Radical Islamic Winter".
Eisenberg also noted that a new weapon was used by Gaza militants in the recent round of escalation in the south, which led the Home Front Command to instruct the public to seek shelter under two roofs, rather than one.
