World Financial Markets On Verge Of Collapse & ME Peace: Is This Prophetic?
With no solution in sight for Europe and new fears of a global recession, investors dumped stocks and commodities and ran to the safety of U.S. Treasurys (cnbc.com).
World Bank Group President Robert B. Zoellick has come out on record to say, unless the world financial leaders (Europe, Japan, and the US) act quickly, their economic problems could spread quickly throughout the rest of the world. He believes the world is in danger zone (reuters.com).
If you haven't been paying attention to the world financial markets you should be. I truly believe it will play a part in future prophetic events. Frankly, I don't believe the global economy is going to get better and will continue to spiral downward. Of course, that is pure speculation but I feel it could be backed up with Scripture.
At the same time, we are also staring in the face of possible Middle East war or peace. With the Palestinians seeking UN recognition of the state of Palestine, the West Bank and Gaza are becoming potential landmines for an explosion that could plunge the region into war.
For decades, Bible prophecy experts have declared, the world would be in such a turmoil just before the time of the end (2nd Coming of Christ). Is it possible the world is heading toward the brink of an economic collapse? Is the Middle East on the verge of all out war?
I have to believe the Middle East is moving quickly into a time of war described in the Bible (Psalm 83; Ezekiel 38 39). Coupled with that, a global disaster in the international financial markets may be on the horizon. A Greece default me only be the domino that brings down this economic house of cards.
Is it possible, just before the world is plunged into economic collapse and the Middle East is completely consumed in war that a man will rise. He will not only calm the global economic markets (Daniel 8:25), but bring Middle East peace out of certain war. He will be viewed as a savior and many will worship him (Revelation 13:8).
Whether we are on the verge of this scenario coming to past is unknown. Certainly, the rapture of the church must take place first. Unfortunately, there is no way of predicting what this world will be like once the rapture does happen.
