JERUSALEM – Israel must withdraw from Judea and Samaria, the biblical

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert claimed today while officially presenting his new
government for parliamentary approval.

Speech Spurs New Cold War: Russian Press...
MOSCOW (Reuters) - A speech by Vice President Dick Cheney strongly
critical of the Kremlin marks the start of a new Cold War that could drive
Moscow away from its new-found Western allies, the Russian press said on Friday.
In shocked reaction to the harshest U.S. criticism of Moscow for years, commentators said Washington had created an anti-Russian cordon of Western-aligned states stretching from the Baltic almost to the Caspian Sea.

Bush:
US Has Powerful Duty To Ensure Israel's Security
US President George W. Bush said Thursday at the American Jewish
Committee conference in Washington that the United States had a strong and
inalienable obligation to ensure the security of Israel, referring to the
threats Iran had made against the Jewish state.
Bush repeated his pledge that the United States would not deal with the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority so long as Hamas refuses to disavow terrorism and to acknowledge Israel's right to exist.

Coming National ID 'Mark Of The Beast'? - Opposition Grows To Federal Law
Requiring Data-Filled Card In 2008
Is the national ID card the next step toward the imposition of the biblical
"mark of the beast" Christians believe will be required to buy and
sell during the Last Days?
That's the contention of a growing group of believers who are working to turn back the approval of the Real ID Act by Congress last year. Public Law 109-13 requires the national ID portion of the plan go into effect by May 2008.
"There is a prophecy in the Bible that foretells a time when every person will be required to have a mark or a number, without which he or she will not be able to participate in the economy," states the Christian website NoNationalID.com. "The prophecy is 2,000 years old, but it has been impossible for it to come to pass until now.

President Bush said on Thursday that America has a strong obligation to
ensure the security of Israel. These will be the words that will suck
Israel into a seven-year peace treaty with the antichrist. No, I didn't
say that President Bush will be the antichrist, only that this same promise of
protection will be the cornerstone of the coming seven-year peace
agreement. But shortly after this agreement, a Russian-Arab army will come
against Israel, and all, including the U.S., will forsake them. In
the end, God will be their deliverer.
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is in the process of mapping out the details of how Jerusalem will be divided. What used to be considered an unthinkable move could be a reality very soon.
"We will not divide Jerusalem, we will share it," he said.
Most of Jerusalem's Arab neighborhoods would go to the Palestinians, he said. "Those same neighborhoods will, in my assessment, be central to the makeup of the Palestinian capital ... al-Quds," Schneller said, calling Jerusalem by its Arabic name.
Israel would keep Jerusalem's Old City with its shrines sacred to Jews, Muslims and Christians alike — an unacceptable plan to Palestinians, particularly if carried out unilaterally." http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060504/ap_on_re_mi_ea/dividing_jerusalem_2
Olmert is determined to bring about Israel's permanent borders by 2010 whether the Palestinian's resume negotiations or not. Personally, I don't believe that it will come down to a unilateral move from Israel. What I do believe is that we maybe on the threshold of the rapture and the soon revealing of the antichrist. When this happens, this event will change the direction of the talks and the antichrist will bring about a temporary peace that all will agree upon. Certainly, no one knows this for sure other than God the Father but my feeling is that this could happen very soon.
Of course, many believe that the rapture will take place and the antichrist will then magically appear. The truth is, it may be days, months or even years before the antichrist is revealed. Once satan no longer feels the restraining power of the Holy Spirit he will select his antichrist and false prophet. How long it will take to place these two figures into positions of power is anyone's guess, but I'm sure it won't take long. We've seen how a death or illness can change the face of a region in a matter of minutes.
It wouldn't be surprising if both the antichrist and the false prophet filled positions of people who are raptured. Assuming that the current Pope is a born again believer his office would immediately be available following the rapture. And that goes for every high ranking Christian world leader!
Is the rapture near? I think so! Certainly, I have no date to give but I do feel that it could come at any moment. No other prophesies need to be fulfilled.
Are you ready to meet the Lord? If not your time is running out!
I came across this article I wrote back in 1998 regarding the future change of leadership in Russia (2000). Take a look at Question# 13: Prophecy alert revisited. It's been on my website for almost eight years but I had lost track of it. I think you will find it interesting.
