Netanyahu: PA Will Take Over Part of Israel
Here is where following the Calvary Prophecy Report and other important prophecy websites becomes critical in understanding the slight changes in the global political scene. If you are to stay abreast on what each minor move represents in the broader scope of Bible prophecy you will have to remain focused and consistent. Case in point, as I talk to individuals regarding the day we are living in all agree that the signs of the times point to the fact that we are living in the last days. Of course, if you ask them to elaborate on the signs most are clueless, or at best, very shallow in their response. The Bible says, that in the last days, a revived Roman Empire will rise to power militarily and economically. Many prophetic scholars believe that this revived Roman Empire is the European Union. Although the EU is not a combined military force, they do fall under the prophecy that this block of nations will be of "one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast (Revelation 17:13)." That essentially is the current format of the EU. They could have a permanent leader by earlier 2010 if all goes as planned with the Lisbon Treaty vote.
According to a recent study, Europe has now emerged as the richest region in the world...a position previously held by North America. This attest to the sudden and subtle rise of the EU in these last days.

This is a major development and will lead to the soon creation of a Palestinian state. How quickly this will develop will depend on how receptive the Arab world is to concessions and normalization toward Israel.
In predictable fashion, US President Barack Obama has scrapped the proposed US missile shield to be deployed in select European countries. Apparently, the Iranian threat has been conveniently reassessed to a lower threat level.
The White House now believes that Iran has been slower in building long-range missiles and that the threat is now far less immediate and as a result, the Bush-era missile defense project can be halted. The research into Iran's capabilities and the evidence which justifies the scrapping of the plan is due to presented in a report published next week. Deutsche Welle
But many experts believe this change of heart has more to do with appeasing Russia than a lowered perceived Iranian threat.

The US has decided to get in bed with Russia at the expense of Israel. This is another step toward the prophetic Battle of Gog and Magog described in Ezekiel 38 & 39. Certainly, Russia is willing to play along with the US, but has no intention of turning its back on Iran. They may order Iran to put a temporary freeze on their nuclear program for the sake of US interests in moving the Middle East peace process forward...but don't expect it to have a lasting effect. When Russia's Middle East interests can no longer be denied (Ezekiel 38:4), they will lead an Islamic attack that will catch the world by surprise.
