Direct Prophecy Alert: This week Turkey officially left the Western alliance and became a full member of the Iranian axis
Once the apotheosis of a pro-Western, dependable Muslim democracy, this week Turkey officially left the Western alliance and became a full member of the Iranian axis.
It isn't that Turkey's behavior changed fundamentally in recent days. There is nothing new in its massive hostility towards Israel and its effusive solicitousness towards the likes of Syria and Hamas. Since the Islamist AKP party first won control over the Turkish government in the 2002 elections, led by AKP chairman Recip Tayyip Erdogan, the Turks have incrementally and inexorably moved the formerly pro-Western Muslim democracy into the radical Islamist camp populated by the likes of Iran, Syria, Hizbullah, al Qaida and Hamas. What made Turkey's behavior this week different from its behavior in recent months and years is that its attacks were concentrated, unequivocal and undeniable for everyone outside of Israel's scandalously imbecilic and flagellant media.
Until this week, both Israel and the US were quick to make excuses for Ankara. When in 2003 the AKP-dominated Turkish parliament prohibited US forces from invading Iraq through Kurdistan, the US blamed itself. Rather than get angry at Turkey, the Bush administration argued that its senior officials had played the diplomatic game poorly.
Turkey is lost and we'd better make our peace with this devastating fact. JWR
As many of you know, I have been pointing to this day for many years. In fact, I looked up a few archived articles that I wrote back in the late 1990s and Turkey's future alliance with the Islamic world and Russia was prominently addressed. Certainly, I cannot take credit for the prediction of this alliance since it was prophesied some 2500+ years ago in Ezekiel 38, but it just adds one more reason why we are living in the last days. If it were a random act that would be different, but it has happened during the generation Israel was reborn (Ezekiel 37:10-14), Jerusalem was recaptured (Zechariah 12:1-3), and a peace treaty (Daniel 9:27) with Israel is being negotiated with Jerusalem as the main stumbling block (Zechariah 12:1-3). Of course, there are many other prophecies (kingdom from East having the ability to field an army of 200 million (Revelation 9:16), etc.) I could mention that fall within this generation, but isn't this enough!
The northern African nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38 that will take part in this attack have already aligned with Russia militarily and many economically. It's only a matter of time before Russia leads these nations against Israel in their quest to take a spoil (Ezekiel 38:4) and finally destroy them once and for all.
In my latest video, a viewer questioned why I placed the Russian-Islamic attack to take place six months into the tribulation period. This persons thinking was that the Bible states, following this attack, Israel would burn the weapons of the invaders for seven years (Ezekiel 39:9).
Although theories abound, due to the length of how long Israel will burn these weapons, many prophecy experts have found it difficult to place this battle during the tribulation period. I have a number of theories I find perfectly acceptable. One, this battle will take place before the rapture. But this could mean that we are still at least seven years away from the rapture or Israel will be burning the weapons for sometime after the rapture takes place. If I were to guess, I would lean toward the latter. Two, this battle will take place after the rapture but before the start of the tribulation period. I believe it's possible that there could be a gap of time that could last from days to years (following the rapture) before the tribulation period begins. Three, many believe that the rapture will take place simultaneously when God destroys the invading armies... then followed by a gap of time of at least seven years before the tribulation period begins. Four, this attack could happen any time during the tribulation period. If I were to choose this theory, I would lean toward the beginning of the tribulation period.
One thing that should be pointed out, no where does the Bible specifically address that the burning of the weapons (or Armageddon clean-up) will not extend into the Millennial Reign of Christ. We assume that it won't due to the fact that the remnant of Israel will flee to Petra (Revelation 12:14; Daniel 11:41) by the midway point of the tribulation period. But we forget that many will not flee. Many Jews will stay in Israel, take the mark of the antichrist, and serve him. I would assume that whoever possesses the land of Israel at this time will continue to burn the weapons for fuel, if for no other reason than a lack of services.
