Turkey is calling on Israel to cooperate with a UN investigation into their May 31st flotilla raid.  Naturally, based on past experience, Israel is smart enough to realize the international community has already made up its mind as proven with every other biased investigation.  If they can't come to a conclusion with all the available video provided, they never will.  Israel has absolutely nothing to gain by cooperating and everything to lose.  

In the meantime, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has vowed to break the Gaza blockade and is considering to personally take part in their next flotilla trip.  If he does, look for him to bring along a naval and air escort.  

That could turn into a serious confrontation that I don't believe Turkey is ready for.  In the short run, cooler heads will prevail, but this confrontation is coming.

Today, the Israeli navy intercepted a boat and killed four Hamas terrorists on their way to a projected Israeli target.  Apparently, since the flotilla crisis, Israel and Turkey have been conducting clandestine operations against each other.   

Some hours after Israeli commandos clashed with armed men aboard the Mavi Marmara, Kurdish PKK rebel fighters attacked the Turkish naval base at Iskenderun on the Syrian border, killing seven Turkish seamen and injuring another six. If Ankara can prove its suspicions, it will be able to claim that Israel is involved by proxy in terrorist attacks on Turkish soil. Diplomatic relations still in force despite the frictions between the two countries will then be severed, one step before a declaration of war (Debkafile).

Last week, Egypt decided to open up its side of the Gaza blockade.  Today, they decide to make the opening permanent calling the blockade a failure.  On top of that, Egypt has announced that any Egyptian men who have married Israeli women would lose their citizenship.  Tens of thousands of Egyptian men, women and children over the last twenty years stand to lose their citizen effective immediately.  Looks like Egypt has made it clear as to who's side they will be on when the fighting begins.

Financial markets are losing ground due to worries that the Greece crisis is beginning to spread to other EU countries.  Their is also fears that the world may be headed back into recession.

Breaking News: Osama bin Laden's hiding place was pinned down for the first time Monday, June 7, by the Kuwaiti Al-Siyassa Monday, June 7, as the mountainous town of Savzevar in the northeastern Iranian province of Khorasan , 220 km west of Mashhad . He is said to have lived there under Tehran 's protection for the last five years, along with Ayman Al-Zawahiri and five other high-ranking al Qaeda leaders.

Debkafile's counter-terror sources disclose that the purpose of airing their precise whereabouts at this time, aside from implicating the Turkish leader, was first, to warn al Qaeda's leaders that their hideout was blown and they had better move on - which would make them easier to catch; and, second, to nudge US president Barak Obama into a decision to go after them (Debkafile).
