Report: US battleships cross Suez Canal; Poll: Globe backs Iran strike
Yesterday, reports started coming in that US and Israeli warships were passing through the Suez Canal en route to the Red Sea. In total, there were more than twelve US ships and at least one Israeli ship that crossed.
According to eyewitnesses, the U.S. battleships were the largest to have crossed the Canal in many years, Al-Quds reported (Haaretz.com).
Retired Egyptian General Amin Radi, chairman of the national security affairs committee, told the paper that "the decision to declare war on Iran is not easy, and Israel, due to its wild nature, may start a war just to remain the sole nuclear power in the region (Ynetnews.com).
According to a new global poll, even Arab nations are in favor of a military strike in order to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. "The Pew Research Center poll encompassed 25,000 respondents in 22 states. The only country in the region where residents said military action should not be taken to hinder Tehran's nuclear aspirations was Turkey (Ynetnews.com)."
Actually, I look for peace to be established before war strikes the Middle East, but that day is coming.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is in talks with China in an attempt to establish a new world economic order. When confronted about the report, he even pulled out a couple of world currency coins that he had minted in Belgium.
“What had seemed untouchable has collapsed. The bubbles that created the illusion of flourishing economies have burst,” Mr Medvedev said. “For Russia this situation is a challenge and an opportunity. We are living in a unique time. And we should use it to build a modern, flourishing and strong Russia ... which will be a co-founder of the new world economic order and a full participant in the collective political leadership of the post-crisis world (FT.com).”
Frankly, I do not believe the Bible supports a Russian new world order, but this move away from the US dollar as the reserve currency is a step in the direction for the eventual new world order the Antichrist will establish. Of course, his new world order will be much different than what is being proposed today. He will require worship and for us to take a mark on our forehead or right hand (Revelation 1314-17 in order to buy or sell.
