Debkafile's Iranian sources quote President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as saying: "We have precise information that the Americans have devised a plot, according to which they seek to launch a psychological war on Iran. They plan to attack at least two countries in the region within the next three months," he said, without specifying which countries were the subjects of the alleged conspiracy, only hinting that America's senior military ally in the region, Israel, was directly involved (Debkafile).

Reports are coming in from various media outlets quoting Iranian intelligence sources that they have credible evidence that the US and Israel are planning an attack on at least two Middle Eastern countries over the next three months.  

If this report has any credibility I would suggest that the US is using it as a final attempt to deter Iran from going forward with their nuclear weapons program.  I don't see this psychological war accomplishing its goal.  To make matters worse, the US navy is also planning to confront and search ships headed for Iranian ports.  Iranian officials have sent a clear message that they will not stand for this action.

Russian officials have shot back at Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for his recent criticism of  President Dmitry Medvedev comments regarding the progress of Iran's nuclear program.  This feud between Russia and Iran only further conveniences me that Russia's relationship with Iran is strictly business and will only exist as long as it is in the best interest of Russia.  At this time, it is in the best interest of Russia to stand with the US by supporting another round of sanctions against Iran.  But that will all change when Israel discovers the spoil that will cause Russia to take notice and join forces with the Islamic world to attack Israel.

Speaking of recent discoveries in Israel.  The natural gas find just off the Lebanese border, but within Israeli territory, experts say could spark a new Israeli-Lebanon war. "Lebanon's need for the resistance has doubled today in light of Israeli threats to steal Lebanon's oil wealth," Hezbollah's Executive Council chief Hashem Safieddine said last month. The need to protect the offshore wealth "pushes us in the future to strengthen the resistance's capabilities (AP)."

If this isn't a series of wars and rumors of wars I don't know what is.  Certainly, the situation could escalate to whole new level if North Korea makes good on their threat of a nuclear response toward US-South Korean military maneuvers that will continue through Wednesday.
