Israeli officials: Wikileaks document proves Arab world just as concerned as Israel over nuclear armed Iran; Hamas will accept Israel 1967 borders in private, but not publicly
I'm sure many of you have been reading the classified US reports that Wikileaks has so carelessly divulged to the world. Personally, I feel the person(s) responsible for passing this information on to Wikileaks should be prosecuted to the highest level, even to the level of treason.
However, amongst all the mudslinging and embarrassment, so far, the disclosures seem to be more of an "I told you so" public relations bonanza for Israel then anything else. It proved what Israel has said all along that the Arab world is just as alarmed as Israel over a possible nuclear armed Iran. It also disclosed another important fact, both Israel and the US were in contact with Hamas prior to Operation Lead Cast in an attempt to halt missiles being sent into Israel.
One more thing regarding peace talks. Emir Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani of
Qatar believes the region is ready for peace. He stated that "Hamas will accept
the 1967 borders with Israel, but will not say it publicly so as to lose popular
Palestinian support (Jewish
World News)."
Certainly, anyone with any spiritual discernment knows that both Fatah and Hamas are only agreeing to 1967 borders because it takes land away from Israel and edges them closer to their ultimate goal of finally destroying Israel once and for all.
In other news, reports are coming in that China has finally come to the conclusion that they may be better off to cut ties with North Korea in favor of a unification with South Korea in command. South Korea has threatened, if there are any further attacks from the North, they will pay a "dear price".
In the European Union, reports are coming forward the Ireland, Portugal, Greece, and Spain are only the tip of the financial crisis that is to come. Even Germany is not immune to financial collapse.
We will see in the coming months if this financial crisis balloons into a catastrophe.
