US Preparing For Military Strike Against Iran; Turkish Intelligence Assisted IDF In Attack On Syria
As stated in a previous article, it has been learned that the US is now preparing for a military strike on Iran. In an interview with Fox News, US officials cited that Germany was no longer willing to support further sanctions against Iran due to their ineffectiveness. This same sentiment is being advised to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government recent refusal to support additional sanctions against the rogue state has made the sanctions effort useless.
Fox reported: "Political and military officers, as well as weapons of mass destruction specialists at the State Department, are now advising Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that the diplomatic approach" has failed, and that the U.S. must now "actively prepare" for a military option.
Noting a "well-placed Bush administration source," Fox said senior policy makers are reviewing the military option and say "the likely timeframe for any such course of action being over the next eight to 10 months, after the presidential primaries have probably been decided, but well before the November 2008 elections." http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/iran/2007/09/12/32225.html?s=al&promo_code=39F7-1
According to a Kuwaiti newspaper, Turkish intelligence played a major role in helping Israeli warplanes locate and destroy Syrian targets back on September 5th. But if you remember, just the opposite was implied when Turkish officials began asking for clarification just following the attacks leading many to believe that they had nothing to do with the operation.
This is a strange twist if true since many Bible prophecy experts believe that Turkey will ally with Syria (Russia, Iran, etc...) and take part in the great future battle of Gog And Magog found in Ezekiel 38 & 39. Today, Turkey is considered to be an ally of Israel's, but you can bet between now and then that will all change.
This is very disturbing and could prove to be an imminent danger for the world in the near future. In a recent Pakistani survey, it was learned that Osama bin Laden was more popular than President Pervez Musharraf. Certainly, this could account for why Osama bin Laden still remains at large in the Afghan-Pakistani border region with a multimillion dollar bounty on his head.
Poll numbers indicate that President Musharraf has an approval rating of 38% while bin Laden enjoys a rating of 46%. US President Bush has a 9% approval rating amongst Pakistanis and only 13% said they would support a US military strike without Islamabad's cooperation. http://iafrica.com/news/worldnews/547677.htm
This is the danger that US military analyst fear. With President Musharraf facing the biggest political crisis in his eight-year reign, if he is killed or removed, a dangerous terrorist such as bin Laden could be ushered into power with Pakistan's nuclear weapons at his control. This scenario is not out of reach now that Musharraf has agreed to step down as commander and Chief of the military. Many believe he has already lost the support of most of the military leaders anyway. The US fears a coup could be in his future, and with it, the uncertainty of who will rule in his stead.
Right now, US military analysts are unsure whether Israel was targeting an alleged Syrian nuclear facility (shipped in from North Korea) or bombing a new weapons shipment to Hezbollah (from Syria/Iran). But they are "happy to have Israel convey to both Syria and Iran the message that they can get in and out and strike when necessary," Haaretz reported.

In the meantime, Syria has protested to the UN Security Council and is mulling over there response to Israel's intrusion.
