France Warns Of Possible War With Iran
US intelligence sources are saying that Washington has now turned from sanctions to war plans in an attempt to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power. To underscore the seriousness of the situation, France has come out and warned of an impending war with Iran in an attempt to ready the world for this possibility.
If France is coming out in favor of war as a justified deterrent to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons it must be serious.
Reporters Philip Sherwell and Tim Shipman of the British newspaper Telegraph have written an article that details what they believe will lead up to a war with Iran that could start as early as the next several months.
In a chilling scenario of how war might come, a senior intelligence officer warned that public denunciation of Iranian meddling in Iraq - arming and training militants - would lead to cross border raids on Iranian training camps and bomb factories.
A prime target would be the Fajr base run by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Quds Force in southern Iran, where Western intelligence agencies say armour-piercing projectiles used against British and US troops are manufactured.
Under the theory - which is gaining credence in Washington security circles - US action would provoke a major Iranian response, perhaps in the form of moves to cut off Gulf oil supplies, providing a trigger for air strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities and even its armed forces.
Senior officials believe Mr Bush's inner circle has decided he does not want to leave office without first ensuring that Iran is not capable of developing a nuclear weapon.
The intelligence source said: "No one outside that tight circle knows what is going to happen." But he said that within the CIA "many if not most officials believe that diplomacy is failing" and that "top Pentagon brass believes the same".

There is no questioning that we live in dangerous times where war could break out at any moment...and not just any war...nuclear war.
The fact of the matter is, the Bible is clear that nuclear war is coming (Revelation 6:2-8). We probably won't see it on this side of the tribulation period, but given the death toll (one-quarter of the worlds population will die), I have to believe this will be the means in which the devastation will take place.
The one thing that has always puzzled me is how this great war will begin? There are a number of scenarios that come to mind. One, it could begin in an attempt to prevent nations from achieving nuclear weapons much like what we are facing today. Two, it could start after a terrorist nation who has secretly become a nuclear power has been found out such as Syria, Iran, North Korea, etc. I suspect the West would likely attempt to destroy their facilities. Three, it could start in an attempt to defend Israel against the attack of the Russian-Islamic Alliance (Ezekiel 38 & 39). Four, it could be started due to a massive nuclear terrorist attack against the West. This would prompt a retaliatory nuclear response against the nation harboring the terrorist group. Five, it may just simply start due to some mad man pushing the nuclear button and setting World War III into motion.
I believe the next several months will be quite telling as to the direction Bible prophecy will take us.
